Aren't most of the games on both platforms, mostly games we've seen from last Generation, just updated? Uncharted, Last of Us, Halo, Gears, Forza, ect. Horizon Zero Dawn is new but both platforms are mostly updated exclusive old IP's.

Problem with that is games like gears arent doing as well, and MS needs new IPs. They cancelled scalebound. Crackdown has been nothing but a promise til this point, and they can't gain major ground without games.

Sunset OD, ReCore and the other game whos name escapes me at the moment..(the guy with powers), they all flopped.

Many of those you can get on PC too so they aren't really exclusive.

When you have games like last of us anticipated, horizon selling well, things like that MS needs.

Given, they need new IP's, but I think the cancelation of Scalebound started this discussion about the lack MS exclusive IP's. I wasn't that pumped about riding on a Dragon, but to each it's own.

I think this generation (both systems) have had their share of misses. I'm glad to see Horizon, but we've had way too many The Orders, Drive Club's, Ori's, and Ryse's.

You mentioned Xbox sharing exclusives with PC, that's their eco-system now so if your definition is only on XBOX, then they'll never have an exclusive by that definition.

the cancellation of scalebound just compounded the issue. Its not the only game they cancelled.

It was also an attempt to get into the japanese market but without reason they just quit.

Having games on pc by definition term means its not exclusive, and many times people will buy the game on pc because its the better version.

They need more 1st party IPs... i think the hit and miss thing here is MS had more misses than hits and had to practically have tons of sales to move units.

Just gears and halo isnt enough anymore.

Of course it's going to run better. Just like the pro runs better than the OG PS4 or how the OG PS4 runs better than the Xbox one.

Things were a little hit or miss with a couple of games on the pro, shouldn't be an issue on Scorpio because the available overhead is so much greater.

Yeah. There was Bloodborne, Nier, lots of games like that that may not be amazing but were PS4 exclusive. MS has a lack of games like that past Forza, Gears, and Halo. They missed on a few (it happens, Sony does too), but more hasn't had any big hits. They need some new games to hit big.

Forza, Halo, and Gears can be fun but get stale. It's why Uncharted's being moved on from and going to new things. That well gets a bit dry after a while.

DX12 did absolutely nothing for pc gaming. Here they say its included on the hardware side (probably to offset that processor) but thats the part iffy to me.

Otherwise the hardware specs are good to go.

What people were saying is, if this was on the level of say a 1080ti then the price would be too expensive, otherwise they'd have to cut corners somewhere or just take a loss.
If someone is thinking about getting a 1080ti then I would say they probably aren't thinking about this machine.

$500-600 is safe for this machine even though $600 might be pushing it. However, I don't think you can compare a straight GPU price vs a console; apples to oranges. Also you have to remember that with this beast console you are getting a 4K BR player.

Well some were i can tell you because there are advantages.

Not having to deal with the issues that come with PCs for one.

Pc players abandoning online games faster is another example.

Consoles will never be as powerful as PCs anyway because the tech upgrades too rapidly.

I can't recall a time a high priced console was safe. Most of them came out on the bottom when that happened. The og x1 and the ps3 were the most recent.

You can't disregard exclusives because they are on pc while saying the success of the Scorpio depends on exclusives. It's not how Microsoft is doing things going forward. If that is your mindset then the Scorpio is already a failure.

Maybe its small, but Us Baseball fans have are a group that loves baseball. MS needs to there own people on board and make a Baseball game. They don't realize how much that would help them.

I would love a baseball game on One. I'm just not sure how well they sell though.

I can't get behind your "abandoning online games faster" argument. I'd like to know where you found this information.

Some of the most popular online games on PC today are games that have been around for awhile and have a huge backing. CS:GO, the Mobas like DotA, League, and HotS. I can hop onto Battlefield 1 and find full servers of new map pack content. Maybe I misunderstood what you meant by abandoning.

Edit: and yes a baseball game on Xbox that's not RBI baseball would be a welcome addition. Bring back Inside Pitch. [emoji6]

I'm talking about games common with consoles, not those. Gears is a good example.
