    Re: Xbox One

    Yeah.

Originally I had two originals connected via wifi, all was fine.

When I got two S consoles, i moved the originals to other rooms, so I had 4 connected at once. Every so often I would have the disconnect issue on power on and a reboot would fix. What I ended up doing was connecting the originals via powerline adapters and left the S consoles on wifi. That seemed to solve it from ever happening again.

Then I got two X consoles to replace the S, the S replaced the originals. The two S consoles were connected via powerline adapter and the X on wifi. Never had any issues.

UNTIL - we connected one of the originals to another TV, so I have 5 connected. It was connected via wifi, and the no internet/need reboot issue came back. I connected the original via powerline adapter, and it has mostly solved the issue. It does pop up every few weeks, but not seemingly daily like it had been before.

So in my case it is only happens to consoles connected via wifi and if there are more than two connected wireless. In the newest setup, 3 wired and 2 wifi causes the issue for the wireless ones, but maybe only once per month rather than daily.

The interesting thing is that in network settings it shows it is still connected to the wifi network, it just isnt getting any service. So i would wager it is more of an internal network communication issue than it is a hardware issue.

I'd assign the consoles using wi-fi to static IPs in your router and this would probably quit happening.

That was one of the first things I tried because it seems to happen when the IP address is renewed (set at 1 day by default and it would happen at about the same time daily) but it didn't make a difference.

But it seems like if you are in the preview, there is a better place to to report these issues. It seems a little unfair to complain about the console if you have decided to be a permanent beta tester.

And that's buy biggest issue with the preview program. It's non-stop. At times it was fine, Microsoft is damn good about upgrading their software and improving stuff. But then there are times when the updates are more complicated, and you end up dealing with glitches and issues. But once you are in the Preview, you are rarely ever using final software anymore.

It’s the main reason I didn’t jump on the preview program with the Xbox X. I was tired of all the glitches and issues on my Xbox slim and didn’t want to deal with it anymore. I haven’t had any issues so far on my Xbox x knock on wood...

Basically since I posted that I was having issues I've had no issues. So yeah I guess everything is ok for now.

But I still have no idea how NBA Live 18 just disappeared. Never did get it back.

Yeah next time I use the system I am gonna drop out of the preview program.

Just wanted to point out today is the last day 12 month gold subscriptions will be available from Microsoft directly for $40. It also stacks on current subscriptions. According to the site it's 10 hours left to purchase. Also they have 3 month for $10.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

Bundle with games and put it on Craigslist, you'll get more than trading it in

Yeah, I look at Craigslist occasionally and am somewhat surprised with what the price of a S seems to go for...more than trade in I bet

Awhile back during E3, Wargaming announced that World of Warships was coming to console platforms in 2019. They're currently taking alpha testers for Xbox1 and PS4 players. They'll be at Gamescom in 2 weeks and will have more info to share with us.

For some reason, I’ve had the itch lately to unload my PS4 Pro and get an Xbox One S. Probably since all my other consoles are MS. I know you might think, “why not get the X” but I don’t have a 4K TV now and don’t have any plans to buy one later.
