No it doesn’t. Maybe to you it does but I think you are looking at it from a weird pov. They are just adding ways to access their content. Did you think PS was dying when psnow was available on smart TVs?

Smallville is just one those fanboy gamers that views every piece of news as "proof" that his gaming console choice was a very smart purchase. that's their gimmick. They aren't trolling, they are just helping to educate us poor Xbox users.

          Re: Xbox One

At the end of the day, Microsoft doesn't care if you buy and play their games and services on Xbox, PC, tablets or cell phones. They just want you in their eco-system. Game Pass is still rumored to eventually land on Switch which wouldn't surprise me at all and if Sony were to allow Game Pass on PlayStation, it would already be there.

Since early 2018, it's been all about Game Pass. There's a reason why Microsoft has acquired so many small AA studios. It's so they can develop and release games faster in order to provide content for Game Pass. It makes sense and fits with what they want to do. Majority of the games will be live service games so they can be played not just for a few days or weeks but for months and years. That's Microsoft's strategy which for them, makes perfect sense and simply fits.

Microsoft and Xbox is on the upswing but it's going to take years before they get to where they truly want to be. Spencer has only been "the man" since late 2017, even though I just say January 1st, 2018 because by the time he got settled into his new role, it probably took a few months and whatnot anyway. Add in holidays and yeah, Spencer has only been in charge for soon to be 16 months in my eyes and he's doing an excellent job when you consider the mess he took over as he's completely revitalized and rejuvenated the Xbox brand but I know he still has a good amount of work to do and it takes time.

With that all said, I am very much looking forward to their E3 2019 showcase as im expecting a gameplay trailer for Halo Infinite, blowout and release date for Gears 5 (my guess is their normal late October release), Ori 2 with a September release date, Gears Tactics gameplay video (2020), Battletoads gameplay reveal (2020) with an outside chance at seeing Rare's new IP but im thinking that Spencer holds it for a year since it is a next gen title.

For the seven new studios, im expecting The Outer Worlds gameplay video and release date (if it doesn't get one before then) even though that's under Take Two Interactive, Wasteland 3 gameplay video (2020) from InExile and Ninja Theory's Bleeding Edge game which is said to be an Absolver type game which im hoping isn't true but it's been in development for a while and before Microsoft acquired them. Not expecting to see anything from Compulsion Games, Playground Games, Turn 10, Undead Labs or The Initiative as it's just too soon.

If Microsoft shows what I posted and has great third party support and some Indie stuff, it should be an excellent showcase.

Always trolling too. This isn’t the first time he comes in this chat to bash Xbox. He’s made himself clear in the past that he’s a Sony fan. I just don’t understand why the constant bashing? What do you gain by it? We’re all grown men here and many of us buy both consoles to enjoy gaming.

                  Re: Xbox One

Phil Spencer has been leading the majority of the Xbox Teams since 2014. The title came in 2017, but he was doing the Lion Share of the work way before 2017, so I disagree with your assessment of him being "the man" the last 18 months.

Here's a question for everyone: On average, a 1st Party Studio is delivering How many games per Generation? 1-2? More? Less than 2? When I look at Sony, most of 1st Party Studios, probably delivered 1-2 Games this Generation, so I think that's quite doable for MS for Next Gen.

Xbox has been successful I never said it hadn't and I am interested to see what they show at e3 I just dont have high expectations. Battletoads I just asked about being that is one that that does interest me a lot.

If they haven’t impressed you in 18 years just give up on them. It’s fine. They have released countless decent games in that timeframe in essentially every genre possible. As well as a 3 objectively decent consoles.

Does posting so many caveats ever wear you down when you are writing? Like, you want to say something nice about Xbox, because you are in the Xbox thread and all, but then you have to throw in a nice caveat in case anyone reading your post might actually think buying an Xbox is a smart move.

Because, seriously, this post was mostly crap. It's full of all the info everyone actually following Xbox news knows, but with your extra spin to make sure that no one takes any of that news too positively. You are always so concerned about our feelings, making sure we know that the Xbox really isn't all that we think it is. You don't want us accidentally having an optimistic outlook and to have faith that the last several years we've been enjoying our console wasn't just a fluke.

Yes, you have set up perfectly the situation to air all of your concerns after E3. I mean, you are excited about it. So, when you are disappointed, that means we will need your help understanding why. You know, like we care how much you like the XB1 compared to the PS4.

If you don't like anything MS does, why are you constantly in here? You are missing out on a great system. I would say the same thing to you if you hated PS and were in the PS forums saying the same things about it that you do about Xbox One. You've been around OS now long enough to know that its trolling. If you've made up your mind on The One and whatever the next Box will have. It's cool to be a fanboy, you need to be better than this.

I'm not posting any caveats at all. Just known information and facts. If you want to look at it differently, that's up to you. I have been optimistic for the last 16 months because of Spencer as he's literally the sole reason why im optimistic after being pessimistic about the Xbox brand between 2012-2017.

As someone who owns an Xbox One X and has given Microsoft no less than 5 console sales in 4 years, why would I be against anyone buying an Xbox One? As for Xbox One being a fluke, I actually believe their low sales compared to Xbox 360 is the fluke. Meaning that Xbox 4 will be equal or better than Xbox 360 was.

My only major disappointment from Xbox One is that the console hasn't given me as many exclusives that I want to buy and play compared to Xbox 360. That's truly my only major complaint. Yeah, Sony gives me a lot more but it took them 15 years to get to where they got to with PlayStation 3 and where they are now which is why I say that it will take time for the studios that Microsoft acquired because it's true.

That's not bashing them or anything. It's stating a simple fact. I'm not going to judge the job Spencer is doing until at least four years after Xbox 4 releases because I know for what he wants to do, it simply takes time and it wouldn't be fair to judge him until he gets a fair amount of time to implement what he wants to do and for the games to be ready.

As for E3 2019, I can guarantee that I won't be disappointed with their showcase because like with gaming in general, I have my expectations set. Now, if my expectations are exceeded, awesome but if not, I still won't be disappointed and in fact will be satisfied, content and looking forward to Gears 5 a few months later.
