Kind of funny how things have evolved this generation. We started it with an freak out about always online consoles - then (de facto) ended up with them anyways. That same outrage primarily about ownership and being able to rent and loan games - then this generation has seen the complete failure of Blockbuster and the explosive growth of consumer's digital preferences to the point that digital has surpassed physical sales.



Next up, Redbox is getting out of the video game business. With no announcement they have abruptly stopped renting them and have now stated games will only be available for purchase until next year.



Gamestop and others are still adjusting to the most popular games in the world being free and the digital transition well over the hump, remains to be seen how things unfold for them and if they'll stick around or evolve themselves into something more sustainable.

Someone had an article about Xbox's Debacle at E3 and they took a closer look at the finer points of what Microsoft was attempting to innovate. The kicked is most of the points became things Both systems implemented....too funny.

I'll be pissed about the reaction to MS forever. If they hadn't screwed it up we'd have the ability to resell digital games.

The outrage was ridiculous even back then. It was obvious to everyone that had a clue that online and digital were the future. Microsoft had some really cool ideas and plans and had to scrap it because people are scared of change.

I think it would have worked out better if they didn't include the disk trade in and just went all in. That was the only reason for the "DRM" people were crying about. Without that there wouldn't have been any need for online checkin.

Likely just an error IMO, but a Game Pass video posted by the African Xbox Twitter account included Cyberpunk 2077 before it was deleted.

That'd be quite a get for an already great service.

I’m officially hype for the Xbox series X... the new hell blade video which was all in game and no CGI according to Microsoft is very impressive. The new Xbox looks like a mini pc tower lol. I like it..

Hellblade 2 looked great but in general, im not a fan of cinematic trailers. I want to see the actual gameplay and combat which im sure we will at E3 2020 and if it looks like the cinematic trailer did, oh man, it's going to be impressive.

Gears Tactics which they finally showed gameplay of looked great as well. April 28th is the PC release and I would think before the end of 2020, it will be available on Xbox One/Series X.

I am surprised that Microsoft is releasing Gears Tactics only four weeks earlier than Wasteland 3 because you would think that Microsoft wouldn't want Gears Tactics to overshadow it on PC especially when both are turn based strategy RPG's.

One thing I was thinking about is since they revealed it at TGA, I would assume that Microsoft will no longer have a reveal event and instead, wait for E3 2020. Before TGA, I was fully expecting them to have a reveal event in the Spring. Now it's unlikely.

I found my usbc adapter that came with the phone and connected Xbox controller. It allowed me to do console streaming (and probably xcloud) without a newer Bluetooth controller. I need to tinker more but seemed decent.

Saves are supposed to be in the cloud, right? I never finished Witcher 3. Last played maybe a year ago. Booted it back up and my save is gone. I had uninstalled the game at one point. I have the disc. I recently reinstalled because it was on gamepass. Went to play and no saved progress......

I would expect so, unless your prior setup would have prevented the cloud sync for any reason.

I found out that all my controllers that have the headset plug the triggers and right stick don't work. My older controller without the headset plug actually will work fine. All the others are current on firmware and not about to screw up my one that works lol. I've read a bit about this on reddit, and figure it's some sort of beta bug maybe.

I've been console streaming the Witcher and it's pretty amazing. I now would kill for switch to get the app. My phone is good sized but want bigger
