I agree. I've owned both systems and XBOX exclusives don't come close to PS3 IMO.

I'm leaning heavily towards PS4 at this point.

Yeah, it's rather sad to go into the XBone thread. So many people trying to convince themselves that it is actually going to be an actual gaming system. I know one thing for sure, Sony is focused on gaming where MSFT is focused on making sure I'm watching the right tv shows for me.

        PS Blog

If you haven’t heard about The Witness, it is a game about exploration and puzzle-solving in an open world.
The open-world aspect of the design is important; it means you have freedom in terms of where you go and what puzzles you choose to approach right now. At any time you can just stop what you’re doing, turn around and go somewhere else, and the game world has plenty of new things to show you.
It’s interesting to try and design a puzzle game this way. Puzzle games are usually linear, because the designers want to make sure you have solved a puzzle before going on to a more difficult one. But in The Witness we have a broader idea about what makes puzzles interesting, and this lets us be versatile in designing the flow of gameplay. We build systems of puzzles with flexibility to allow for player freedom, so you can follow the natural flow of your own curiosity.

More flippantly, we are trying to reverse the trend illustrated by this old chestnut:

Building an open world is a challenge for a small team like ours, though, especially in a game that is as detail-oriented as this. We care about the placement of every object, the way every location looks from every other location, and how a location frames the puzzles that live inside. We’re very busy refining these details for the game’s release.

Just as sad as people who have no intentions of getting the "insert system here" flooding that systems threads.

And seriously.. E3 will be about the games. Even Sony's release was more about the extras and didn't even show the system.

The whole "not a gaming machine" can be spun on both systems at this point.

I simply want the best bang for my buck and feel like it's "X-Mas season" when I was a kid. Really excited about next gen and new tech.

Doesn't matter... one was catered to gamers and one wasn't and you see the reaction, not just on OS, but all around.

Nintendo didnt show their system at E3 and you plopped down the cash for a WiiU. Prime example

Not exactly. I played the demo at Gamestop before I paid anything.

and to add.. I didn't have the option of seeing which system was going to give me the better Mario, Zelda etc..
As I've said before I love Nintendo games and so my options are a tad limited.
Nintendo for Nintendo.. PS4/XBOX1 for my main systems.

The makers of Infamous said they are using it as input for in game things like when the main character has to press a button or throw things, but don't forget the Share button is right on the controller making sharing easier and faster, and the Move sensor is built in the controller also and can be used to for different things also.

So, since MSFT showed the X1, that means it was a success? Sony didn't show the PS4 so we say it wasn't a good reveal. Since "how" the console looks means so much. I'm more concerned about games, developers, and knowing that gaming is the sole focus, not television. Sony showed three times as much as MSFT did, and they showed off extras that EVERYONE HAS...Facebook. At this point, E3 doesn't even matter to me. Most of the people I know have made up their minds. Everyone I know is done with MSFT's bs.

I only have one friend that is defending the X1 to death. He keeps saying, "I'll have to wait for E3." When right after the PS4 reveal he said, "I'll have to wait for the Xbox reveal." Next it'll be he'll have to wait for the launch and so on. There will always be people that just can't leave a product because of it's name, Samsung people are always tough, and Apple people...
