Also, got a question for you guys. Do you know if the Turtle Beach P11 wired headset will work with the PS4? I'd rather not dump even more money into the system with another pair of headphones, but I have to have something. When the kids go to bed, the TV is just one room over, so there's a good chance I'd wake them up without a headset.

If it can't connect directly to the PS4, is there an accessory that will allow it to?

As it stands, Turtle Beach's current headsets will work with the PS4

"According to Ike Sainoi, a Turtle Beach product manager we spoke with at E3 2013, the company's PS3 headsets should work with the next-gen PS4.

"From what we understand, we do believe that our current headsets will work with the PS4 as it stands," Sainoi said. "Of course, nothing is quite concrete yet, but from what we've heard and the conversations we've had, it should work with the PS4 when it comes out."

He emphasized that compatibility isn't a complete guarantee yet, but for now it appears Turtle Beach's PS3 headsets are indeed good-to-go with the new console."
Alternatively, you can plug in any headphones you have lying around the house into the 3.5mm jack of the DualShock4 and you'll be able to get game audio through there. If the headphones support TRRS, like the iphone earbuds, then you can use voice chat through them, too.

My order just had tax added to it even tho I placed the order June 10th.

Just sold my PS3 slim a couple days ago on Craigslist. I'm very close to paying off my preorder. I still have the 360 so we're a one console family right now.

It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

What'd your PS3 slim sell for?

Both my Xbox One and PS4 still have no tax added to them. About to cancel the Xbox One though. I'd call Amazon and see what's up.

Same here...found it odd. Then researched, apparently Amazon is charging tax in NJ as of 7/1/13 since they opened a distribution center in the state. However I placed my order 6/11/13 so I will be in contact with amazon as the initial order did not include tax. Should be exempt on orders made prior to that date.

IGN guys at PAX demoed AC4 on PS4. They said to bring up the map, you hit the touchpad in the middle and can pinch to zoom and move the map around. This touchpad might be better utilized than most people realize.

                    Video here.

New Jersey passed legislation in May to target online retailers and start collecting taxes effective 7/1.

Because the purchases aren't being completed (shipped) until after the start of tax collection I expect everyone affected will end up paying tax, will be surprised if there are any exceptions.

Georgia and Virginia joined this party 9/1.

You may very well be correct, sir. What a bummer tho considering that was a main reason I pre ordered thru amazon, to save half a games $ worth in taxes. Meh...

I was told by an Amazon rep I would not be charged tax because I pre ordered before September 1st. Im gonna uphold them to that. They have not added tax to my order but if they do I will be contacting them. Like the above poster I went with Amazon only to save on tax.

EDIT: I even put in a pre order for some games on August 31st and no tax has been added.

I sent an email basically saying I'll go to Walmart if they don't waive the tax. Sucks tho because I'll have 400 bucks worth of Amazon credit. In the end its only 28 bucks so I probably just pay it since I'd have to pay it at Walmart anyway.

Perhaps the people that you played on psn just had slower internet.

Using a peer to peer connection on an xbox is not going to somehow be better than a peer to peer connection anywhere else. You may as well say that BitTorrent and Limewire speed up if you're connected to Xbox Live.
It's more of a problem with getting dropped from games sometimes on ps3 using wifi but on 360 using wifi I rarely get dropped if ever. Maybe 360 is better with my wifi. But in terms of wifi cards I looked it up.

Ah okay, what happened is that the early PS3s used a wireless module that forced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to share antennas, and it just switches really fast; the firmware isn't good enough to have different antenna drivers for future PS3s so they were pretty much stuck with it.

Bluetooth was designed with cell phones and other garbage devices in mind (the part where some cell phones actually aren't garbage these days notwithstanding), and it adapts pretty well to this.

                                Wi-Fi emphatically does not.

Not to mention that the controllers use bluetooth, so it sometimes seems like the controllers are robbing the internet bandwidth.

I can't really even imagine a repeat of this ... let's not mince words, colossal f*ck-up on the PS4.
