So, what exclusives will MS actually have this gen?

The last time I was hooked on an exclusive game was on the original Xbox. Personally, I don't see the point in owning the Xbox One. The multimedia features hold no interest for me and there aren't any games I'm dying to play like I felt numerous times last gen and looking at PS3 exclusives.

Halo, Gears of War, Forza, that Quantam Break or whatever it's called and... that's about it, worth noting at least.

MS Exclusives have always been terrible, and the ones that aren't are strictly limited to FPS genre. Forza's not bad, but GT has mostly been the better series - for my money at least. Some Forza's I liked more, some GT's I liked more.

It also dulls the impact those exclusives have (for me) since quite a few of them now get PC releases as well.

Exclusives are all subjective. Guys over on Xbox would say the same thing. They aren't interested in playstation exclusives, why own a ps4?

Honestly, I want to play halo 2 anniversary edition if the multiplayer is the same. Fond memories of playing doubles as well as throwing in some tower of power here and there.

As a guy that went from PS2 to Xbox and then onto X360 I don't really see how MS and Sony compare evenly when talking about exclusives. As the kid on the outside of the video game store window looking in, PS3 appeared to have a more varied library of exclusives.

Outside of Forza I don't think I played anything else within the first year of its release, but games like Jade Empire, Crimson Skies, and the original Fable are all classics to me. Unfortunately, Fable was the only game to actually receive a sequel. ME eventually became timed exclusives. Same for BioShock.

Well. Then they're ignorant.

The only exclusives really worth playing on XBox are FPS games. That's their target demographic, no matter what they say, and it shows. The odd Dead Rising/Forza aside, and even then neither of those are system sellers.

If you want to play a fun game, just ask someone to name 10 360-exclusive games/series (series count as one item on the list) worth playing today. See if they can do it.

I am asking the same. Not to make this an Xbox thread, but this is about the only place you can voice a negative opinion without having your head cut off as the guys in the Xbox forum act as if you have offended their God or something, but I am having some remorse on just recently purchasing an Xbox One. It has some things going for sure and it is mainly to have for later exclusives and to scratch that gamer itch of having to have it all, but I see nothing coming out the rest of the year that I will buy for it. Also I think we can now agree on the hardware difference that make the PS4 the better option when it comes to any game available for both consoles as we still have games running at less resolutions on the One at this point. How much longer does it have to take to see that is an issue?

My only hope is that Xbox will hit a bottom and attempt to give its fans more value than they have received lately. I guess we will know more on this at E3, but I could not fault anyone for waiting at this point and sticking with the PS4 for now.

Those of you looking for a deal on trade-in's, Gamestop is offering 40% if your a pro member on trade-in's towards certain games. Also, if you get the Game Informer magazine they have a 10% coupon, which makes it 50%. I traded in Assasins Creed Black Flag yesterday and got $34.50, which I put towards The Show PS 4 version. I thought $34.50 was good considering I bought it for $40 used.

I only trade in games at Best Buy. That way I can just buy Amazon gift cards with it and order anything I want from Amazon.

I think (not pointing fingers at anyone in particular here, more at everyone - myself included) the thing I've learned over the past few years is that gamers are never happy unless they're complaining.

We used to have more than a few sayings in the infantry that were somewhat like this. "If it ain't rainin', it ain't trainin'" "The only happy grunt is a bitching grunt." Stuff like that. Turns out, it applies to gamers too.

Take this thread - we now have "complaining" (and I use that term lightly) about indie games being focused. Now go to the inFAMOUS thread. We have bitching about that game in there plenty over the past few pages.

We complain about games being "too basic" (mgo's words, not mine.) We complain about games losing their focus and trying to do too much. We complain about resolution of games (which is a legit complaint, it just shouldn't be at the forefront of an argument.) We complain about multi-player games not having single-player campaigns/modes and vice-versa.

At the end of the day, I guess we're all happy as long as we have a variety of things to complain about. The day that every gamer has the same complaint is the day that gaming as we know it is dead. I feel like with the budgets ballooning of these games (and multiple studies done about price points showing that we're at our high point for them already) that the gaming bubble may burst in the coming future. We are already seeing some ill-effects of this, and the indie games are basically the ones carrying us through.

Compare the "A" and "AA" quality games we had up through the PSX/PS2-era. If you compare that to what we get today from those same sectors... it's basically fallen off a cliff. Which is sad. This is where the indies are picking up some of the slack.

You have nailed it on the head here. You won't see much complaining at all from me...coming from the Atari 2600 days I'm happy as a pig in slop with all the great games on all the various systems now. Can't understand why so many are so miserable to be honest..

At least people don't have NCAA football to kick around anymore....

I agree with pretty much everything you said other than the Forza/GT comparison. Forza on the Xbox should be to racing gamers that The Show on Playstation is to baseball gamers.

the only xbox exclusives i enjoyed much was Fable and the sports like links 2004, NHL rivals 2004 and top spin because of the online features of these sports titles.
