Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Rivals was not the best game, but it was so fun! Online features and 2 on 2 pond hockey with my college roommates was a blast. I have never been better at a game online. There was a cheese goal a lot of people used and I never used it until it was used against me and then I would destroy people with it.MLB the Show - Cubs
2015: 80-82
2016: 96-66 - Lost Game 7 of WS (18 innings to Red Sox)
2017: 93-69 - Swept by Red Sox in World Series
2018: 100-62 - Swept by Dodgers in NLCS

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Speaking from someone who currently owns an Xbox One and a PS3, I am not thrilled with my next-gen purchase just yet. But I am mostly satisfied. Strictly from game perspective the only 2 games that have blown me away from a technical standpoint have been Ryse and FIFA (MGS:Ground Zeroes comes close). Ryse stands out as the best graphical console game I have ever seen and FIFA really does an outstanding job with the crowds and their reactions to immerse the player in the game. So I consider them true "next gen" experiences.
I am sure in the end Sony will have the best exclusives as they always do. And I am sure I will own a PS4 down the line, but I decided to go the XBO route because of it's ability to integrate the living room's entire entertainment experience - and it hasn't disappointed.
I have already traded Titanfall in. Loved it the first month, but I soon found it even more repetitive than COD/BF and about half as deep. Great first effort to try something new, but it could not hold my interest. Infamous seems to be polarizing as well. So if you ask me the start of this generation has been mediocre at best - but this is somewhat expected if you are an early adopter.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I think it depends who you talk to and what they were expecting. I'm not sure why people aren't clicking with InFamous, but I loved it and plan on going it through for a 3rd time so I can fool around with the photography mode. Its like each post has that qualifying "its missing that "IT" factor" or "I was hoping for more" phrases that kills any interest people may have had for it. I don't really get the disinterest or the buzz-killing, but I'm enjoying it and that's all I really care about.
Honestly, I think expectations were way too high for the first year.

I don't like being bored while gaming. That's my only beef with inFamous.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Infamous simply isn't my type of game, never was, therefore I skipped it. I am waiting for The Show, Watch Dogs and The UFC game. Other then that, the usual sports games in the fall, along with Batman, Dragon Age and what ever else that comes out in the fall.
Over all next gen has met my expectations for the most part. Now I am just waiting for the developers to step their story telling game up to match the level of graphics we have now. I must say I am impressed by the variety of games that are available now. They have something for everybody. The indie line up is way stronger then I thought it would be this early in the console cycle.Comment

Now as for the PS4 Im pretty satisfied with the purchase itself, Ive played inFamous, Battlefield, COD, Madden, Lego Marvel and Ive got Lego The Movie, Thief, Rayman and Black Flag sitting here having not been played then throw in The Show in less then 2 weeks and Watch Dogs in a month and Im thoroughly enjoying the PS4 and have no regrets.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
As we mentioned last month during GDC, we'll be releasing a major system software update for PS4 that will add some exciting new features that many of you have been asking for. Today, I'm pleased to announce a few of those features from PS4 system software update (v1.70) will be available soon, including features that [...]

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Battlefield 4 is awesome and all, but I want a WWII shooter on my PS4. 64-Players online in a battle on Normandy? That'd be epic as ****.
I guess there's War Thunder, though.Last edited by JazzMan; 04-25-2014, 08:52 PM.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'm sure we'll go back to everyone just making WW2 shooters at some point. Remember when that's literally all that would come out in terms of reality-based FPS games?badComment
