I'm buying a ps4 today! Just sold my x1 on kajiji for $370 when I was askign $400 - I wish I could have got more, but EB games was offering I think $190 for it, maybe $200 so it was a no-brainer to do it this way.

I really liked the x1, but just wanted a change after riding msoft since the original xbox - 360 will go down in history as the best console I've ever owned without question, and this gen has to top it! I will miss the nfl app as the season is about to start but I just can't do 2 consoles. My new wife-y also thought talking to the xbox was quite stupid hahah.

But anyway with the $370, plus trading in 2 new-ish games and a stockpile of 14 old 360 games I should be able to walk away with a ps4 and possibly a game without being out of pocket in any significant way.

Guys I'm trying to use the same ID as my gamer tag (fatman2442) to make things nice and neat but it says the id is already in use! I highly doubt that, and think maybe it's a bf4 battle log thing? Has anyone else experienced that? haha I don't even know what name I would use otherwise I just assumed it would work. Doing a quick google search all I see is my stuff, nobody else...

nope I didn't have a problem using my gamertag when I switched from ps3 to ps4.

Wow. Turn around on getting a new controller from Sony was very good. They received it on on 08/25 (damaged thumb sticks) and sent a new one via Fed-Ex which I received today.

Just FYI for those on the fence about sending anything in.

I may have asked before, but has anyone replaced their hard drive in their PS4 yet ? If so, is it as simple as it was for the PS3 ? I'm trying to continue on the path of mostly digital downloads and I'll eventually run out of space.

Yup it's the same process, a few screws to remove, swap hard drives and screw it back in. You also need a USB stick and download the latest firmware

I'm glad the hard drive replacement process is pretty painless. I should be good for a bit longer, but I'll probably be upgrading by the end of the year.

I would also suggest you try out your USB stick FIRST before you replace your HDD. For some reason the PS4 won't take one of my USB sticks, but it will take the other. And the weird thing is, they both are the same brand. One is just 16 GB and the other is 32GB. It takes the 32 GB one but not the 16GB one.

I seem to be having an issue with my PlayStation Plus sharing across my users, unless that feature was taken out. I brought my PSN over from the PS3 and made it my primary but it doesn't share the Plus with my other names.
