Speaking of share buttons.. I've been playing some PS3 games recently (RDR, NCAA 14). I've become way too addicted to taking screenshots and videos on my PS4.

I would have loved this feature when I was heavily involved in sports leagues a few years ago. It's even worse because I use my PS4 controller. The button is right there for me to mistakingly hit every time I see something cool.

I've never played any Metal Gear games, but would like to give them a shot. Is there a way to play the older titles that does not involve owning a PS1 or PS2?

The first four MGS games are all available on PS3 in some capacity. The HD Collection is the best way to play 2 and 3.

Legacy Collection

Includes Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, MGS 2 HD, MGS 3 HD, MGS: Peace Walker HD, and MGS 4.

The original Metal Gears are included via the MGS 3 menu. It is really amazing how similar the gameplay is across those original MSX games and then Metal Gear Solid. MGS is included as a voucher code for the PSN download. The presentation of MGS is still great even with PS1 era graphics.

Still surprised that Konami never released the upgraded MGS: The Twin Snakes from Gamecube to at least the PS3/360 gen or even now. I would buy that for $60 in a heartbeat.

Doesn't Nintendo own the rights? Plus, I don't think Hideo considers the game canon.

MGS: TSS is basically the original MGS but with updated graphics, etc. and includes MGS2 gameplay where you could hide bodies in lockers, etc.

Silicon Knights developed the game and while Nintendo published it, as far as I know it was with Konami's permission since they own the MGS IP.

Konami could easily make a lot of money if they simply just ported the game. Would have no problem paying $60 for the classic MGS with MGS2 visuals and gameplay.

PS Plus subscribers can get the digital copy of Dishonored Definitive edition for $20 through 9/1 in the PS Store.

I believe you have had to claim the previous gen version when it was a free plus game. I dont think its open to all plus members.

Yeah sorry, I posted that a little hastily. The email said it was supposed to last until 9/1 but it only lasted until release for people who had got the PS3 version on last gen.

Metal Gear Legacy Collection, on the PS3.



It has all titles but Portable Ops, Rising and the spin-offs released on the PSP (Metal Gear AC!D)
