I'm not here to try and sell 4K to anyone. I don't think 3D or 4K are gimmicks, I just see them as options. I think 4K content will grow faster than the 3D channels that were mentioned. I only got to see an Ohio State football game that was filmed in true 3D and it was incredible. It blew my mind, and I couldn't get over the depth it provided.

As for 4K, I find it to be glorious, especially with sports and documentaries. I'm hoping that Rogers is going to broadcast The Masters in 4K. Fingers crossed. I wish there was more 4K content, but as an early adapter...it could be worse. I've mentioned it before, every Jays home game will be broadcasted in 4K. That alone is worth the price of admission for me.

Maybe size does matter! Mine is 78 inches and my wife says it's too big, but she loves the curve in it. The 55 inch tv that I have beside it seems tiny in comparison. That being said, the 55 inch tv has a great picture. (Both tv's are Samsung). I don't think 4K is like the jump from SD to HD, however if it's something an individual is interested in, I would say "go for it", but in no way is it necessary.

Don't forget the tv companies are already developing 8K.

I watched Avatar in 3D recently and it was amazing. I think 3D is awesome if your picture can immerse you.

I like playing The Show in 3D. Avatar must be watched in 3D, it's incredible when the technology is used properly.

You get a random character each time you save one, can't switch manually. Unfortunately, some of them just suck.

Always random. Forces you to know each' strengths. Game is challenging to say the least, especially later. One of my favorite games this gen to be honest. So good.

Don't forget, ESPN 3D and Discovery 3D were once channels too

It's going to take much longer for 4K to be a household thing than it was for 720/1080 to be a household thing.

I work at Discovery and 3Net (our 3d channel) is considered a big failure and one of the reasons that Discovery isnt going full speed ahead with 4k. Another reason is filming in 4k is EXPENSIVE and there arent enough people with 4k TVs and cable systems that broadcast in 4k to justify getting into it right now.

For you tech savvy guys, I'm having a lot of trouble with being booted from the Division. When anyone else is on the Internet in the house, like on Netflix, I get booted about every 15 minutes or so. I have TWCs highest Internet package, and I'm connected through ethernet from my router.

Could my router be bad to where my ethernet connections are subpar coming from it?

I don't think the average consumer is going to ditch they're perfectly working HDTV just because they're is a new resolution most people see it as a waste of money to buy a TV when they're TV is working fine.

While I think the average consumer fells that same way about DVD and TV's that where not HD yet now we have Blu-ray's and HD Tv's. I don't think the average person is going to buy a movie on Blu-ray if they already have it one DVD and I think it is the same with 4k Blu-ray movies to.

I would go even further and say more and more people are not buying Blu-rays and are transitioning more to buying digital be it iTunes, PlayStation store, Vudu etc, as they now stream your movies in HD, as well as allow you to download them to devices like phones and iPads and would seem much easier, practical for them to offer 4K version for you to stream/buy as opposed to another round of all the same physical movies you have in a new physical format yet again

It's fun, but the PS4 version is a mess. The framerate is some of the worst I've seen this gen and that bug where your control cuts out a few seconds into each level make the game barely playable. I'm waiting on a patch until I come back to it.

How old is the router? Some firmware on old routers just can't seem to handle and manage the data and multiple connected devices that flows through them today. If it's a newer router then make sure it's firmware is up to date. It's always a possibility that there's a hardware problem too.
