What does your game collection say?

        My physical collection:

        Soccer games: 7

        Football games: 4

        Basketball games: 1

        Baseball games: 1

        Racing games: 5

        Action/Action Platformer: 26

        Action-RPG: 7

        RPG/SRPG/DeusEx: 9

        Fighting: 2

        FPS: 1

        Music: 1

(i don't know in which category i would put Pilotwings Resort, so I'll list it separately)

As for digital, its hard for me to list it here by category right now. My 360 is unplugged, i don't remember correctly how many games i have on steam, and i don't know if i should count the games "given" by PS+ with the games i bought on PSN between PS3 and PS4, and i may have around 7 digital ganes on the 3DS.

          Nice!

I stopped collecting really. I don't have much reason to hold on to games once I beat or really get tired of them. Feel like many of them were long term rentals to be used to help purchase the next one.
I did this recently with my book collection. I felt like I was keeping books I'd read just to prove that, in fact, I had read the book, when I had no intention of reading the book again. Now, I'm down to books I haven't read yet and a select few that I will read again, or hold sentimental value to me.

I can see me doing the same thing with my video game collection. I'm not there yet when it comes to retro games, but I have kept the PS4 collection to a minimum of games I'm currently playing. The fact that I haven't bought an Xbox One yet this generation is a definite sign of progress.

That, and only 2.0 stereo sound. Those are the 2 reasons why I couldn't personally stick with VUE.
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

I never thought id be here either but at this point in life its a thing. Plastic, degrades in resale value and taking up space. I'm not a game collector so my time and space can be utilized better.

I had to hear some of those things quite a few times before it clicked. I could hold my physical games in the cases in one hand.

Is the bottom right image possible in the show? Lighting comparable but seemed just off comparing the top two at a glance in my PC, it was the crowd that made it really obvious which was which IMO.

Man IDK what you guys are talking about. The Show graphics are so amazing that it looks almost like real life baseball game. Maybe you guys can easily tell the difference but to me the pictures looked almost identical.

Amazing job by the Graphics department of The Show

I think they mean it shouldn't take ten minutes to see what was in game. 10 seconds, eh okay? But minutes? No way.

They are for sure good, but not 10 minutes to see difference good.

I think people are over analyzing it - it clearly was an exaggeration to emphasize the good visuals.

Doesn't take more than a split-second, still. The only shot that ever made me double-take was this:

I do wish we were farther along in terms of console power, though. I'm still impressed by the likes of some games that are nearly fifteen years old, now.

Here is World Series Baseball 2K3:

                              Spoiler

Textures and resolution may have come a long way, but even the games of yore have produced good models, lighting, fidelity, and seamless animations/motion that I still wish we have come just a little bit farther these days.

It seems we are around the pinnacle for this console generation, already. Not just for The Show or all other sports games, but all games in general. We're getting good, but they still do just seem like video games to me.

Maybe that's just as much an artist limitation as it is a console limitation, though.

Ovbiously it was an exaggeration. Surely it didn't take 10 minutes, it's the claim that it took any time to tell the difference was what they are referring too.
