Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I've always just preferred Sony's controllers, especially the face buttons. I can't stand how clicky MS' buttons are. I love the Juan controller for racing games, but honestly, that's about where my preferences end. I'll take the PS4 controller for everything else any day.
Both controllers are solid this gen, but I for sure lean DS4.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
It is fine on the right stick because you are alternating between buttons and the stick, and not holding the right stick in a direction for prolonged periods of time.
Then I can slide my hands down a bit to keep my left thumb in a more upwards position, but then the handle is too short and it is barely in my hand. The handle is longer than ds3 so it is better than that, but still not quite long enough.
I like the buttons better than xbox one. I like the options button location close to the face buttons rather than in the middle of the controller. But the triggers really feel cheap compared to the xbox one's solid triggers, and the trigger vibration really was a nice addition.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Okay guys.
I like both controllers and can go from one to the other without any problems whatsoever. Haven't used the Xbox One Slim controller yet (waiting for ReCore) but the setup of the controller is still the same as the base Xbox One and Xbox 360.
I did prefer the Xbox 360 controller over the PlayStation 3 controller. One thing that I do like about both controllers is that the setup has stayed pretty much the same from last generation to this generation.
I'm more used to the PlayStation controller simply because it's been 21 years using the same setup. Sure, there's a few modifications but the overall look, feel and design has stayed pretty much intact.
As for the touchpad, I like it but wish it was slightly smaller like a square instead of a rectangle and the options/share buttons were moved inward slightly. The main problem is that developers don't take full advantage of it which is a shame. A few have but majority don't.
The light bar doesn't really bother me anymore. In all honestly, I actually forget about it sometimes. I only remember it if I tilt the controller towards me and see the light. LOL. I do like how the light bar changes colors based on the health you have in games.
Can't comment on battery life since I always have the USB charging cable connected.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Just interested in some feedback here. One of the features I love most on my Xbox is the Game Leaderboard from the Game Hub section. You can see it more in this video below, they start to look at it closely at the 2 minute mark.

I really hope that Playstation comes out with something similar in their UI as I love being able to track certain things about my games and it's fun comparing with friends. One of my favorite stats is for NBA 2K where they actually track how many points you've scored in MyCareer. I'm going PS4 this year for my sports games and that's something that will be missed IMO.
Just curious if others like it or would like having it as well.Fino Alla Fine

PS4 Neo Sketch Shared by Foxconn Worker: Reportedly Thicker & Heavier Than Basic PS4
The original sketch, which you can see below, showcases a blend of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 2 design elements for the PS4 Neo. The source also reports that the console should be slightly thicker than the basic PlayStation 4 as well as being heavier; with the increased computational power, it makes sense. Those looking for a slimmer, lighter console will be able to choose the PS4 Slim, also rumored to be announced during the upcoming PlayStation Meeting in New York City (which will be live streamed).
After this leak, a couple of Neogaf users decided to create detailed mock-ups based on this sketch. The first one is the featured image you’ve seen above, made by xenorevils AKA Peter Segura, while the following one was made by artsi.
