Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Obviously, if you're an online console gamer, you're forced into paying for Plus/Gold. The only way services get better is to vote with your wallet but no one does that and I realized why - it's so they can complain.
Should Sony improve PSN and their servers? Absolutely. But are they going to? Probably not. I do agree that they should upgrade their entire PSN network and servers but as long as there's still millions of gamers paying for it and thus in turn, accepting it all, Sony isn't going to upgrade anything.
If there's a PS5, then maybe you got a chance. Now, nope.Comment

Tell me about it, flat out crazy. Waiting on bank to open at 9am here to see if they can do something since Sony is incapable of doing anything other than ****ing up.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I remember when PSN was free and that used to be the selling point. Then Plus came out and "free" games, now there's your hook. Then the price of Live went up, and it was not only better value to have Plus but cheaper.
I don't know what's going on anymore lol. It's unfortunate because so many of the things Sony fans used to prop the company up last gen is the same **** they're doing right back to them this one.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sorry that this happened to you Phobia bud but at the same time, there's a lesson to be learned here and it's not just PSN/Live, etc. It's that you should NEVER EVER leave your Credit Card and especially Banking information on your accounts.
Sure, it's a huge pain in the *** having to type all the info in and all that but compared to having your account hacked and money stolen from you, it's easily worth the few extra minutes.
Should Sony improve everything and have better customer service as well as refund users who were legitimately hacked? Absolutely but we all have the OPTION of not leaving our personal financial information on our accounts.
This is an option that everyone should take because again, while having to add all your info when wanting to make a purchase is a huge pain in the ***, it's still far better than dealing with Sony customer service and having to go through changing passwords, calling up the bank, credit cards, etc.
Seriously, everyone should delete their own personal information after every purchase. I never use my checking account for any purchases and credit card wise, I delete it once the purchase is confirmed.
Hackers are pieces of crap but they're smart and know what they're doing especially when chances are they're in a foreign country. Be smarter, don't leave any personal info on your accounts.Comment

This generation it became required to play online, and to be honest outside of Rocket League I barely play online at all anyway... and now I couldn't be more upset to pay that much for it. Maybe because the free games are lackluster these days, maybe because I don't have time to play as much as I used to, or maybe it's because I don't feel like it's my "option" anymore.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Well I just got a e-mail, evidently my PSN account was hacked during the PSN DOWNTIME. They stole $74.98 and $5.00, and guess what Sony response was "I'm sorry for this, I'll add this back to your Sony Wallet".........NO, I need this is my bank account. "Sorry we can't do that".
Oh and my PSN account has the highest level of security incase anyone is wondering. 2 factor auth, strong account password, password for any purchase, and they bypassed all this while the service was down WTF.
I'm so aggravated right now, Sony customer support is worse in business!Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'm pretty positive no one has cloned my phone, because I still should of got a text which I didn't. I'm pretty positive it had something to do with the PSN service being down and them gaining access while this was happening.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
You can remove the credit card and then just add it back and make a payment on the day the card will be charged for the next month. It sucks and is a hassle but it beats going through this crap. And while it was only email/ebay, I had my account hacked a few years ago and it's a time consuming "I want to strangle everyone im talking to" situation because majority of the time, no one actually helps you solve anything.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Then how did they get the 2 factor auth code? It would be impossible to fake that. Once they go to log in, it sends a text. If you didn't get the text, then your phone is cloned.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That assumes their two factor endpoint has no exploits. You're assuming that their implementation is 100% secure.Comment
