Agreed I will use strictly psn prepaid cards from now on.

I've been doing this for awhile now. I just buy codes on Amazon. I feel Amazon is more secure than Sony... Amazon gets hit with the same thing.

I rather enjoy how people tend to:

1) Overreact and say this is just a PSN problem.

2) Call it hacking and blame it on their security.

I won't deny (no pun intended) the issues they've had in the past or the bizarre amount of length it took for them to have a two-factor authentication system, but it seems like people try and give any reason to blame Sony for something they were likely not even at fault for.

If a site you're trying buy something from is getting DDoSed it won't matter what kind of payment method you're using. You won't be able to because the site is down.

DDoS isn't hacking, and it doesn't endanger people's secure info. It is, exactly as the acronym says, a denial of service.

In fact in a groupme chat I just said that I hate that these trolls get called hackers

Also not sure why you thought that I believed a prepaid card would let me access a site that is being DDOSed. In general I believe it's much better to use prepaid cards for online transactions because of my experience one thing leads to another

Gotta be honest it kind of bums me out that you think I'm that dumb. We've gamed together before

I'm well aware of what DDOSing is

I tried to pull cash out today and the ATM came back with an error saying it could not reach my financial institution. I'm assuming this is related to the the ddos.

Do you have money in the bank? J/K..... Could possibly be just that particular ATM having issues. I've had this happen to me before, try another ATM.

Ddos attacks aren't hacks, but PSN is the least I trust with my info out of every other company mentioned. What's even more sad is the way Sony treats victims who've been hacked sometimes. It's something I believe they should work on.
