So I have two Monitors, the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro, I also have two Ethernet cables.

I connect both consoles to the modem/router via ethernet cables for the fastest transfer possible?

It'll then also ask me which console I'd like to have as my primary?

Gonna do this in a bit and I wanna make sure I do this right and the most efficient way possible.

I echo the sentiment someone else posted above, this is starting to get more confusing than building a new PC and quite frankly I don't like that, it's also why I got out of PC gaming.

I don't know if this is right but I do know that I saw someone in here say that you will be connecting the two consoles DIRECTLY to one another, not to any router/modem at all.

The primary would be whichever you plan to want to want to set as your primary machine. It has to do with being able to allow others play your digital games without you being logged in on the machine is all that it affects I think

I believe you just connect the ethernet from one console to the other and connect the the pro to the monitor to do the transfer. It takes about 3 hours for like 800+ gb to finish from what I have seen from others

I was the one who made the pc comment odogg. I think the UHD he is referring to is where you have to enable some 10 bit deep color mode that is required for HDR to your panel. I just got a 4k TV and couldn't get HDR to be recognized until I did this. Now I have HDR working but I think I feel some input latency now. It turns out that HDR tend to seriously drag down input times. I'm up in the air at the moment. I need to do some serious testing with my TV because if the show 17 had hdr support this input lag will be difficult to overcome.

I followed what the game prompted me to do (basically connect the two PS4's via an ehternet and follow the prompts) and it took about 50 minutes to copy my original PS4 to the Pro.

HDMI UHD is a setting on Samsung HDTV with HDR that is used to enable the tv to receive and display HDR. HDR produces input lag in many tv's and some samsung 4K sets do not enhance input lag in HDR mode. So if you have one of those sets then turning HDMI UHD ON is a good move to get HDR and low input lag.

If your tv is not one of those then turning off UHD on the Samsung set to not get HDR is important so you get 4K with no HDR and low input lag...

Not much more then that...Remember not all tvs handle HDR the same..Some handle it better with little input lag and better color distribution and others do not offer the better color and produces input lag...All depends on the tv you have

                            http://www.psu.com/news/31537/ps4-sa...rce=feedburner

So does any one think that ps4 can really sale 175 million? A few things here.
                            1. It is going to be a while before ps4 is down to 200 million. I could see slim going down to 250 and pro down to 350 when Scorpio comes out late next year maybe even slim 200 and pro 300 but I think the 250 and 350 is more likely to happened then the 200 and 300.
                            2. I know a lot of people say this guy is stupid so I don't think we should talk about him just more do you ps4 can sale this much?
                            3. To out sale ps2 is going to be hard and I think it is to soon to really say if it is going to out sale ps2 or if it even has a chance at all.
                            4. I think we will have a much better idea of its chances after we see how the ps4 sales after pro and after Scorpio comes out.
                            5. I know ps4 sales have slowed down the last few months but I am not sure by how much and I don't know how sales compare to ps2 at the same point in time now. Are ps4 sales still at a faster pace then ps2?
                            6. Kind of goes back to 4 but how much did ps4 sales slowing down because of the news about the pro coming out and because of the fact that Xboxone got more price cuts and the xboxone slime and because its almost like ever time you look there is some sort of sale on the xboxone such has the current buy a xboxone slim and get a free game and COD or something that is going on at BB.

Yea my friend got the Pro the night it released and the directions I posted were what he told me he did. It didn't sound right but I didn't question him in party chat because he was on his Pro already and I hadn't gotten mine yet.

@GamingJones you said about 50 min for everything? That sounds about what he told me, he said with everything he had on his vanilla PS4 (games) it took him about 65 min total.

I'm going to go the route y'all are suggesting first because honestly that just makes more sense. I think he was saying that he hardwired both consoles to his modem/router to avoid being on WiFi and making the transfer faster. I still believe the direct connection y'all are suggesting is the sound way to do it.

I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Never said that and is opinion backed up by reviews from media sites....I never once said the pro is not a good console or update...If I said that then why do I have one? Some people just want to hear what they want to...

I said that for 1080p sets the upgrades are not tangible and this is backed up by reviews and opinions of those who reviewed it and have it in sites. If the update is big enough for you then fine and be good with it. But devs will provide their games based on the new power and since Sony told the world this is a 4K checkerboard machine their devs are not going to make games at 1080p for the Pro just like 98% of the games they already develop for the vanilla ps4 that is 1080p to start with.

PS4 vanilla already offers 1080p in most games which is awesome and makes it a super console. The PRo was not designed to also give 1080p with a better texture here and a few better frames. That is not what Mark Cerney and Sony stated.

All future games will have the Pro in mind and it will push resolution over anything. Its what Sony wants because is what is apparent to the eye

Why do you think DF who is a hard core sony site is hedging their review now saying most games suffer FPS over vanilla PS4 because the Pro is rendering resolution at the cost of performance where the Pro even with the beefed up GPU cannot handle as well.

You go review many media sites and most say that the gains on 1080p are not tangible enough for them to recommend you upgrade.

If you are a new owner then yea get the PRO for 100 more only

But many are wondering should they trade their console and get ripped off on trade value or sale value to then drop more money thinking they will be highly impressed with new GPU power when the gains are noticed in 4K because that is what Sony and MS are doing now

At the end of the day...Is my opinion and is not fact...If you want to get the pro with a 1080p set then great...Enjoy but it does not mean I cannot share my opinion since I have a 4K set and 1080p set that I tested already.

                                Is not that serious people
