I love digital foundry. They analyze every little aspect to the greatest detail. Don't know if they impacted Naughty Dog or not but either way, it's on Naughty Dog, not on anyone else. This is why I love DF. They don't hold back. They tell you exactly what it is. Of course, when you think about it, if PS4 PRO didn't exist, none of these complaints/concerns would even exist so it goes both ways but in the end, it's on ND to get the game running as best as it can. To me, better visuals shouldn't come at the expense of worse frame rates or the game running worse. To me, it's all about performance and that's where PRO has been a disappointment thus far, especially when compared to the base PS4.

Im prob just going to get a 4k set in the beginning of new year


im even contemplating playing anything fully on my ps4 pro other than a few titles until i get that 4k set.

rather be blown away than breezed gently

at this point the ps4 pro is NOT a 1080p display console

very underwhelming

I purchased my 4K HDR Sony X800D 43" back in September after I purchased the Xbox One Slim. Waited for Forza Horizon 3 and wow!!! That started it for me to where I can't go back to my previous 32" Samsung 1080P HDTV which was pretty damn good.

I bought BF1, TF2, COD:IW and simply waited for PS4 PRO before playing any of them. best thing to do in my opinion. And give it time, REVII and definitely Horizon should blow you away. If they don't, then ouch but hopefully, it does.

On a side note...

Axiom Verge is on sale on the PlayStation Network for $10 through Monday. It's a stealth sale and not advertised. Will definitely purchase and download tomorrow night when the Cowboys game is on. It's a Super Metroid homage and was created and developed by one guy - Thomas Happ if I remember correctly and is said to be damn good especially if you loved Shovel Knight.

Hoping I might find some good news here, I haven't used my PS4 in about a month I'd say, anyway went to turn it on today and my controller just flashes white on top and nothing happens. It turns on fine if I use the power button on the console, but even when I plug my controller in and after attempting to use the reset button on the back of the controller it won't sync to the console at all.

If anyone else has had this issue is it hopefully just the controller is done for whatever reason? Not really in a spot to buy another PS4 at the moment, I did order a new controller so I'm hoping that is all it will be but just hoping for the best, if anyone else has had this issue and found a way to fix it let me know, if not hopefully the new controller will do the job.

I cannot get over quiet this Slim is. I'm so used to noise, even the times when my OG PS4 was quit. The VR junction box is actually louder than the Slim is and that's after hours of playing games. So impressed.

Yeah I've got the charging dock so it's good to go, even plugging into the console it will briefly recognize it, turn orange as though it's charging then after about 10 seconds stop. Like it does if you put it on the dock when it's got a full charge already.

Yep. Don't own a 4K tv and have no reason to own one anyway. Once broadcasts are in 4K I'll upgrade. Until then I don't see the point. Add to that, yet to see one single reason to get a Pro. It's louder, games have had tons of issues on it compared to the base PS4 and frankly, I think it's ugly, at least compared to the Slim. I really don't like that light across the front at all. Take all that and when it's close to $200 more with current deals, I'm very satisfied going with the Slim.

The flashing white bar means its is not associated with your PS4. I know you said you tried some things, but I would do this.

Turn on the PS4 with button on the unit.

Plug the controller into the front USB port using the Sony cable that comes with the system.

Push the front PS button once (and for not very long).

That should re-associate the controller to the system.

The orange doesn't mean it recognizes the control, it simply means that the controller is receiving power from the USB. Since it is already charged, it stops charging (i.e. flashing orange).

i HAD the slim and traded it in and unless you play NBA 2k17 PES 2017 FF15 and Watch Dogs 2 this console isnt for everyone. those games i mentioned i knew were going to be my favorites all year so i decided ona pro but if i was to talk about the other games id like to play on it the experiences have been horrible

cant play metal gear solid phantom pain in a pro mode
cant play gta 5 in a pro mode
cant play madden 17 in a pro mode
cant play project cars in a pro mode
cant play the crew in pro mode
steep was supposed to get a pro mode dev is now mum on the whole thing so can't play steep in pro mode
dishonored 2 doesn't have a pro mode
cant' play cant play the list goes on and on....

IT sucks.

The flashing white bar means its is not associated with your PS4. I know you said you tried some things, but I would do this.

Turn on the PS4 with button on the unit.

Plug the controller into the front USB port using the Sony cable that comes with the system.

Push the front PS button once (and for not very long).

That should re-associate the controller to the system.

Wow well that did it, I was holding the button down too long from the looks of it, thanks a ton glad everything is good with the PS4 and I've been wanting another controller anyway so all worked out well in the end.

I'll end up getting a Pro if The Show is optimized in it.

The Show does not look improved visually from 16.

I am extremely disappointment with the amount of lax that was shown at the 2016 trailer.

If the reg version can not look any better than using "the pro" so that you get a better looking game is their "gimmick" then i could care less about it.

The game needs a major graphic overhaul. NOT stadium wise but player wise and gameplay mechanics. games like PRO YakYUU Spirits should be looked at as inspration to making their game better.

The player models all still have short arms and legs
