This whole line of thinking is just hurting my head...being loyal to any company, the only one who loses out is the consumer choosing to be loyal. But being loyal AND stubborn? For virtually the same money you spent, your experience could have been tangibly better with the TV you just bought.

Never understood digging in your heels when it comes to stuff like this.

Xbox one is the first xbox system that has not had big hard ware issues and ps3 YLOD I got but it was a rare thing compared to the red ring of death that xbox360 had and ps1-ps4 had no big hardware issues. While Nintendo used to be my favorite and then Sony but now Sony is my favorite but I still love Nintendo because I like that they are different and love Zelda, DK, Mario. I don't need xbox systems it would be a waste for me to have only need Sony and Nintendo systems. I used to play a lot more sports games then I do now. In part because I wasn't into a lot of other games and in part because I don't have the time like I used to so now I am having to decide what games I am going to play with my free time more then I used to. It sucks growing up lol.

PS1 needed to have a table fan blowing on it to work after a while. As well as turning it upside down to make the disc drive work. PS2, because of the DVD drive built in, had ALOT of disc drive issues. PS3's YLOD was far from rare. Very few PS3's from launch made it very far into their lifecycle, hence why privately those models that were backwards compatible were going for the obscene prices they were a few years in. And PS4 already has motherboard issues (already had to replace mine).

It's cool, you're a PS fanboy through and through. But don't go sounding off on things through your rose coloured glasses and present them as fact. I went through three Xbox 360's because of hardware issues and though it ended up being my favourite console of all time, many times early on in that gen I questioned switching over to it from PS as my main console for third party games.

People forget that Sony had to be sued to fix PS2 disc read errors, they were charging for fixes prior to that.

I had 2 gamecube's that stopped reading disk but yet gamecube is one of my favorite systems but when it comes to sony those issues where rare.

Agonizes for weeks over every detail of the PS Pro and its benefits. Runs the numbers on all the sales and trade ins to figure out how to save a dollar. Buys a great 4K TV to take full advantage of the PS Pro.

...and doesn't pay an extra couple of bucks for the XB1 S but gets a standalone UHD player because he "hates MS". Nintendo literally spits in every consumers face by refusing to acknowledge online is a thing and making their systems way underpowered so third party support becomes non-existant, yet he's a huge fan of them lol.

What I wouldn't do to see the world and live a week through his eyes. Don't know if I could handle it, I may punch myself in the face after day three

I like and have no problem with anyone here in regards to what they prefer and want to play but hell, a good deal is a good deal regardless of what you're buying that makes it a deal.

If smallville plays third party games, xb1s would easily be worth it for just one game as that one game would make up for the $25 difference. I'm way more of a PlayStation fan than I am an Xbox or Nintendo fan but screw that, im a gamer first and foremost.

Have purchased an Xbox One base twice and slim once this gen. And im looking at Switch. All depends on the final price, sd card cost, launch lineup and if they bring all the Virtual Console titles that I had on Wii over to Switch.

I hate and dislike a lot in regards to the gaming industry and stuff that's done but hell, I don't hate or even dislike a single company related to video games.

I'm not a fan of EA but that didn't stop me from buying, playing and completing Titan Fall 2 and Battlefield 1. Enjoyed both and are easily an 8.5/10 for me and preferred both over Doom.

Watching ACG (Karak from neogaf) on youtube with his international podcast, he says it perfectly, being a fanboy and not wanting the other console is only hurting yourself.

Oh well, to each their own. HAPPY GAMING!!!

One thing i really hate is when forced patches automatically download for dlc you did not even buy or have any interest in buying. I like it better when i have a choice. Some games i have passed up on because in order to get the day one patch all this dlc is added on to the likes of downloading a full game.

He says ignorant things, yeah...to say that PS hardware problems have been rare when facts state otherwise, that's ignorant. The rest, that's his opinion and his choosing, silly as it may be.

Ok so his thoughts on PS hardware problems may be off base, I can agree with that. But no reason to call him ignorant imo. And you say the rest are his opinions, and you say you have no problems with opinions because it makes the forums great, but yet you say
