I'm not into Minecraft but have played it a bunch with my kids. My kids are addicts. I look at this way, ever have an empty box of Lego's and then make something? That's Minecraft. My kids design homes, villages, cities, etc. Then they figure out ways to destroy them or add rooms inside. My son had a 5 story building with rooms, wings, portals, etc. It was very cool. Minecraft isn't the point though.

Yep I said this earlier, it's literally a video game of Lego's.

Wow! We're really still discussing this? Where were all the complaints 3 years ago when Microsoft had this policy with indies? Hopefully, we can get back to just general discussions. There's lots of great games for all of us.

So why is Gaijin Entertainment's War Thunder on the PS4 but it's not on the Xbox One? What happened?

Honest, for all who know me for years I have always been a huge MS fan and still am, and I'm a Sony fan too due to there first party games always being better.

I'm just posted this because of what I read what Phil Spencer is saying, he words are the PS4 PRO is an Xbox one S competitor and not an Xbox X . That is just stipus, the Pro is a great system and will still hold its own against the One X so he should chill with that. Hey Phil Sony has the games my friend, I have so many more games digital over what I have for the PS4 but until I see games that I ant and NEW IP games. I'm not rushing for the ONE X. My Pro will be just fine.

You should watch Spencer's GameSpot E3 interview. I stopped watching a few minutes in when he started to complain about the exclusive one year content that PS4 has for Destiny 2. I have defended Microsoft, Spencer and Xbox One as much as I possibly can to where my best friend thinks that im a secret paid employee of Microsoft's but after this past E3 conference and the bullcrap that Spencer spits out every time he talks (with Hyrb and Greenberg right behind him), I can't anymore.

If I hear him say "we're expanding our first parties" or "first party is critical" or whatever one more time, im going to puke.

At the end of the day, it's all about the games and while multi-platform games are basically the same, it's the exclusives the set the consoles apart. While I will always say that for 2013 and 2014, Microsoft was easily better when it came to exclusives but since Bloodborne, Sony has dominated with quite honestly, less but BETTER and superior games. And I don't even care about Bloodborne (or Demon/Dark Souls for that matter).

I look at the upcoming exclusives and my goodness, the Uncharted and Horizon expansions will by far be better in quality than any Microsoft exclusive this year. It's sad because Spencer keeps talking a good game but when he plays, he gets dunked on.

1 year is a little ridiculous for dlc content imo. Especially when people on the other side are paying the same amount for the content. I don't play destiny though so I'm not gonna get too worked up about it.

True BUT Spencer has done his fair share. He somehow convinced those above him to pay a huge amount of money to SE and Capcom respectively for DR4 and ROTTR being a ONE YEAR TIMED EXCLUSIVE.

Yeah, the Destiny 2 DLC one year exclusivity is bad BUT at least you can still play the game on the other platform as opposed to having to wait a year. And both of those deals badly backfired on Spencer and Microsoft to where when you read about it, it's actually funny.

Bottom line is that Spencer shouldn't say crap because he's done the EXACT SAME THING and if anything, what he DID was WORSE.

Those situations are not comparable. We are talking about an entire game being held back while nobody it is being held back from is being charged anything. Then comparing it to everyone paying whatever for a seasons pass and some of that content being held back from people for a FULL YEAR. The differences there are fairly obvious.


ROTT isn't a great talking point here anyways because it probably doesn't happen at all if Microsoft doesn't step in.

Nobody in the history of these forums has ever taken things out of context as often and as far as you have. Ever. You have an amazing ability to twist, pull, embellish or flat out make stuff up to try to make a point.

I watched that interview in it's entirety. Spencer was not complaining about any exclusive one year content or anything of that nature. He was asked, the Xbox One X has been reported to be able to run Destiny 2 at 60fps but the deal that's signed with Sony prevents it from running better on it than the PS4 Pro.

His response was, he's not privy to any deals signed with other companies, but he makes sure any exclusivity deals he signs doesn't shut out players on other platforms from content whether it be skins etc and if a deal is preventing Destiny 2 from running at 60fps on the X1X, then it's a sad day for the industry. No deals should prevent a developer from pushing technology forward.

He's not wrong. And you need to take your Sony rose-coloured glasses off and see the bigger picture.

How is Destiny 2 being held back? It's available the same day on all platforms except PC. If you're talking about the game NOT being 60FPS on Scorpio, I don't think that Sony is holding back the game at all. I simply don't believe the game can run at a locked 60FPS simply because the CPU in both Scorpio and Pro are old and obsolete. Destiny 2 like the first one is heavily connected to the CPU. 90% of games are attached to the CPU but publishers including Microsoft and Sony can't market or showcase FPS but they can however showcase visuals.

Also, unless it's a LOCKED 60FPS, it's useless anyway because majority of the time, the games will vary in frame rate and most of the time, it's in the 40's with jumps up and down. Gameplay wise, this is actually worse than a locked 30FPS especially for a FPS.

As for ROTTR, I don't know where anyone thinks for a second that MS saved ROTTR. They didn't. If anything, SE and MS killed it. ROTTR was more than halfway completed when the timed exclusive deal was announced back at GamesCom 2014. ROTTR started development before the release of the 2013 reboot.

Maybe you're confusing ROTTR with Titanfall 1?

Make stuff up? What exactly have I made up? 10:55, Spencer admits that he dislikes when a console gets an exclusive skin or strike. Despite the fact that he has done the same thing. He DOES and HAS taken content away for a period of time. DIVISION anyone? Seriously, WTF? I don't kiss Sony's *** at all but Spencer is way worse because all he does is speak with PR bullcrap and people are gullible enough to eat it up.

How in the hell would Spencer know that Destiny 2 can run 60FPS on Scorpio? Does he secretly work for Bungie? Destiny 2 is a heavy CPU centered game (like 90% of the games) and the CPU for both Scorpio and Pro is a customized but old and obsolete Jaguar. It's literally five year old tech. It's done.

60FPS rarely happens anyway. It always varies which is worse than a LOCKED 30FPS. The frame rate jumping up and down is worse and affects the gameplay in a worse way.

Go to the above three topics. The last several pages which are for the most part, hardcore Xbox One fanboys bash Spencer and aren't happy with him. In the second link, the fact that Spencer asks the interviewer why he cares so much about 60FPS takes the cake and says it all. Yet, he's complaining about speculation regarding Destiny 2? Really?

HE IS WRONG. Hundreds of people call him out on it in those topics alone and they are the majority of loyal Xbox One fanboys.

Sony is BAD. No doubt. BUT Spencer and Microsoft are WORSE and have proven it time and time again so if anyone needs to take off those rose colored glasses, it's you bud.

As for so called bigger picture...it's about MONEY and PROFIT, period. ANYONE who thinks that Microsoft would still be your friend if they had 60M consoles sold and were the market leader like Sony currently is are completely delusional.
