The dock being pulled from the Nintendo store is interesting. I know they are saying it's just sold out but that's usually not what you do when an item sells out.

It hasn't been pulled. It's there, this was debunked earlier.

Yeah. Just saw it was back up. Not so interesting anymore. Was hoping they were working on a better design.

I've had no issues at all with scratches since using the felt pads. It shouldn't have to come to that, but it is what it is.

I'll probably unsuccessfully put on a screen protector for what it's worth.

The Switch is fast becoming my favorite console of the three, and I know that's a bit premature to say. Love the fact that I can pick up the tablet and be in BOTW within seconds. And obviously the versatility is just so nice. While the other two consoles have better visuals, that actually has absolutely no bearing on my enjoyment. If Nintendo can produce quality titles on a consistent basis, I can see future iterations of the Switch.

I kniw its not powerful but its just gosh darn comfortable from the grip to the handheld and even pro controller feel and if games come out for it that i like it will be my favorite console as well

The more i play Zelda the more i fall in love with non sports gaming again

I had no idea that you needed a separate charger to be able to play handheld mode in till I got this. I am not a big handheld person but its like really Nintendo? We have to pay a extra 30 to even be able to take advantage of the big feature of this system?

For what it is worth, he said something along the lines of he doesn't like the game because the protagonist is a girl, didn't speak anything on the game being awful. So not being hypocritical in that sense.

Let me end this because it seems this is a great way to disway anything positive I have to say about the system.


Games not awful. Game isn't brilliant either but many games aren't.

In an open world game this is what is most important

You spend a lot of time free roaming. So you better really love that character you play as or hope that there's some sort of customization of that character where you start to feel as if your playing as yourself.
So playing as a female character in a open world game doesn't provide that for me. If it were linear than fine. Tomba Raider I enjoyed very much. Do I envision myself as Link? Yup Cuz the game makes me feel as I'm playing as myself. Plus the history behind the franchise I'm much more closer to as MANY are.

That said as far as my comment about "you can comment if you have the switch" I stand by that 100 %.

All i see here are people justifying what their dollar buys them or what the system doesnt have or even worse HIGHLIGHTING every flaw as if its a way to say a "I told you so and I'm smarter than you now for NOT buying the switch' well Im sorry tough cookies if you want to bring those who have it down or make them feel any less.

because of this Ive been on the defensive here. utter sick and tired of the little jabs everyone takes at the switch and zelda.

ricky24 you should have bought Zelda on Switch and played through a great game that is Horizon first because then you could go all in for zelda instead comparing. when zelda isnt for comparison...and neither is the switch.

Hardware wise it's ancient but is simple to use and pick up.

and gamewise its retro even zelda

In the same vein that you can have opinions about games or systems you don't own others have the same right.

If someone wants to give their thoughts or opinions about something based on reviews or others thoughts they are fully entitled to do so just as you are.


If people couldn't post about something they didn't have this thread wouldn't be allowed to be opened until last week.

So no. You don't get to tell others what they can and cannot have opinions about, just as others can't do the same with you.

I think he was saying that in a somewhat joking manner.

There are legitimate reasons to dislike the Switch, and reasons that people can use to justify not getting one. That's their choice.

You don't have to defend Nintendo or take anything anyone says personally. Trust me, I got called a fanboy in both the XBOne (called a PS4 fanboy) and PS4 (called an XBOne fanboy) threads because I have a contrary opinion at times (especially when it came to the Kinect stuff for the XBox.)

The only thing that matters is that you are happy with your purchase. If not, take it back. You don't need to continually justify things to anyone else. I love my Switch, it's by far my favorite console in a long time (and will be near the top of the all-time list if Nintendo can get - and keep - support... But there are things that Nintendo really needs to fix about it as well and drawbacks that are design choices that Nintendo cannot fix about it. It won't be for everyone. Same goes for their games.

Just relax, post news/updates/thoughts and have civilized discussions. That goes for everyone not only in this thread, but on this site.
