While it's not like the system has been out a year so manufacturing date can't be to different and didn't know there was any date like that to see.

Zero issues with my digital version. Getting a ton of play too.

Cross yalls fingers for me and my wife. Last day in Virginia Beach, but a Walmart in Chesapeake got 30 for tomorrow. I am not waiting before hand, but we are going to check the store around 8 or 9am tomorrow in hopes that they still have one.

My local Walmart got 25 tonight. Walked in a little after 10pm and saw them in the case. They all were the $500 version. They had zero digital versions.

Same. I walked into Wal Mart this morning. They had 6 left from last nights shipment of 25. I was number 5 in line. So to me walking into Wal Mart is your best bet at getting one vs fighting the bots.

This is not 100% but you can try Brickseek to check the inventory before heading out to your local Wally World or Target.

                https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/

                PS5 Disc Sku is 363472942
                Digital Sku is 493824815

If I were looking I would skip the WM's closest to me and head to the one about 10 miles away in Baton Rouge.

If it's showing stock and there's none out you can try to see if an employee that will look in the back for you. In my experience, sometimes you can find a helpful employee but more times than not they won't. It doesn't hurt to at least ask though.

When I tried that, it said the item had been removed at the request of retailers.

Yeah, Walmart removed it this morning.

Of course. I need to get one from Gamestop. I have a bunch of credit there and I don't see the point of paying full price at Walmart when I have over half the price in credit at Gamestop. I keep checking all day and night on their website hoping they pop up.

But I want the digital version to save the $100 and use for PSN and a game. I have the XSX if I want and disc games. I honestly think I've only bought 2-3 games on disc in the last few years. And that was only because they were super cheap.

I'm the same way but with Amazon. I've got a couple of saved gift cards which would really help the cost. I'd consider buying a disc version off Amazon with that in mind, but definitely would prefer a digital version. It seems like Amazon has been the most inconsistent with updates too so IDK if I'll eventually get impatient and try to buy one elsewhere

Dude, people having bots in place buying all the consoles and not allowing those who really want one to buy it has S*** to do with capitalism. Sell half in stores and the other half online. Pandemic or not if people really want something they’ll go out and buy it. I went to Best Buy over the weekend and there were a ton of people in the stores. At one point they had to limit the amount of people
that went inside the store. People will take safety measures and go buy things they want.

I agree that’s why I say just release them in store and those who really want it will get it. Bots can’t compete with that.

I'm sure Sony would sell them wherever, however certain retailers have decided they would rather sell online than physically in store for various reasons, employee safety being at the top of the list.
