I'm sure Sony would sell them wherever, however certain retailers have decided they would rather sell online than physically in store for various reasons, employee safety being at the top of the list.

Sony told the stores to sell them only online until the new year.

I wasn't aware that Sony directed them to sell online only until the new year. I thought that was for just launch day consoles.

I thought it was individual retailers decision afterwards, given that GameStop and now Walmart have sold physically in store, and Sony stated they were trying to get more inventory to retailers and for consumers to check with their local retailers.

I've got a friend that works at Walmart so I've been bugging her everyday to find me a ps5. The store she works at has been getting a bunch in however 13 of the 24 sold while the store was closed. So I assume that kind of stuff is happening at most stores.

I don't care about 60 fps can't tell the difference but more options are always good.

Wasn't just my store. Walmart's around the country had them tonight. Workers were literally rolling out pallets of them in stores.

I had given up and was going to try to snag a GPU instead for my PC (just as unlikely as getting one online). Well Monday I found out I'm working from home so I got up and drove to work to get my laptop and a bunch of stuff I need for working. On my way home I decided to stop at a Wal-Mart to get some medicine and just as a habit I passed through electronics and saw a bunch of people lined up at about 7:15am. I hovered for a minute and listened as the lady counted the number of people and said "Okay so you all will get one" and they all cheered. So I just hopped in line just to do it and the first guy walked away with a PS5. I asked him how many they had and he said 14.

I started counting the people in front of me and thought I could get one and the last person in front of me bought one and asked if they had another and they said yeah. So he had his wife roll up out of nowhere with a buggy and buy another one. I thought I was SOL, but I asked the lady if they had another and she said it's the last one so I bought it.. lol

She asked if I wanted to leave it in the box so no one sees it and I said "M'am I'm so hyped I don't think I'll lose any fights between here and the car unless they rob me at gunpoint." (left pistol in car)

So yeah the strategy to getting one is to give up trying I guess lol. It seemed like all those people knew they were getting them in.

I haven't played it yet. But like the option. Only played enough of Spider-Man Remastered to know i prefer the 60FPS mode. So to have the blend of 60FPS and RT is a great option even if 1080p is the compromise. I hope Spider-Man Remastered gets that update as well.

I hope more games do that that have either a performance and Fidelity mode. Having an option to have 60FPS and RT is a great add

Yeah sounds like there are 3 options now. 1. 4k-30fps-rt. 2. 4k-60fps-no rt. 3. Now this option hearing it may be like 1440p or something will have to wait for df to do a video on it to know for sure.

Depends on the store. I have witnessed this in person when I use to be in retail. So it does happen. It isn't wide spread nation wide, but you do have a percentage of stores where it happens.

It’s so blatantly obvious that I just have a hard time believing it. My 9 year old can instantly tell the difference. I don’t gain a damn thing and I never said he was lying.
