I finally jumped on the PS5 wagon. I had to prepare for CF25.

I purchased FFVII Rebirth and GT7 to keep me entertained till then.

I thought it bricked right out of the box as it started to install an update for the controller, and it just hung on the screen. A quick Google search brought up a Reddit thread. I turned it off and then turned it back on, and it went on as if nothing had happened.

That's a great first impression, lol.

While I agree its better then not getting free games at all atleast you aren't forced to download them.

Pretty weak they are offering Among Us as the free game.

I was selected to be able apart of the current Beta Update. I am glad because a part of it is creating a 3D Audio Profile.

I didnt renew PS+ Most Essential Games arent qualty. FIFA 24 is the worst Version of FIFA, either Play FIFA 22 or 23. NHL 24 is the last good Game in Essential. I wont play coop for an while. Paying for online is stupid. Maybe 3 month/ year ist enough for PS extra and for online.

Yeah, it's the diminishing returns of this service. The past couple years, I've been doing PS Plus Extra. I didn't do it this past subscription because there haven't been enough PS Extra for me to renew it in November. I only did Essential. There hasn't been a PS Extra game that made me regret not going Extra since then. Hell, there hasn't been an Essential game, that I really wanted to download. We're at the point where we're waiting for past new releases to come to the service like Spider-Man 2 and GoW Ragnarok. Plus for me, I've been also doing Gamefly. I really buckled down on getting more bang for my buck. So, I'm literally just subscribed to PS Essential just for Online, and I don't even play Online.

I would still love if they attached CrunchyRoll to PS Premium. Streaming, Game Trials, and Classic games aren't enough for me. I don't care about Streaming or Game Trials. And I'm not really interested in playing PS1 and PS2 games. But, if they added CrunchyRoll, I would definitely subscribe to Premium

There's a rumor that a huge Microsoft exclusive will be announced coming to Playstation 5 next week during Gamescom. The rumors are;

- Forza 7
- Microsoft Flight Simulator
- Halo

I know what game I would want and I wonder if "play it anywhere", with Microsoft games applies to games I own or would I have to purchase to play on this platform?

As such, it is reasonable to assume an official announcement is near. Looking at the PS4 Pro, the console was announced on September 7, 2016, and subsequently launched on November 10. The same could happen again, as suggested by an industry analyst in late July.

While we wait for Sony to announce what the whole industry seems to know at this point, let's recap the more credible leaks:

I'm not really not that interested in it. It would've been ideal if they had a major PS5 exclusive to launch aside it. It just seems like a better graphics mode will be the main benefit. It'll be cool to see a better dynamic 4k60 RT mode, but not enough for me to buy a new console. It'll be on developer discretion for them to optimize some of the older games. There's some old games I can't get into because of 30fps, if they were to optimize it for the PS5 Pro, then maybe I would be interested. But, for the games I'm talking about, they would've already.
