The Toshiba 46HM95 is the best deal IMO. It's more than 30% off of retail and priced closed to wholesale.Originally posted by sportdan30Jon

^i'm looking to buy that for my xbox360... the thing that bothers me is there there's only one component in the back.
I'm pretty much a newbie at this, so if i was to get a DVR box that had HDMI support, would i still have to connect the box to the components as well? or would i be able to use my cable box for use with just the HDMI input and my xbox360 with the composite cableLast edited by ThaGenecyst; 11-16-2005, 08:22 AM.http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
Hey guys...
I'm looking at this one:
Toshiba 51 in. Rear Projection TV/HDTV Monitor
Its normally $1,799 but its going to be $899 on Friday.
I'm not prepared to spring for the plasma or LCD, and from what I've read, the two main disadvantages for the RP/CRT are a narrower viewing angle, and because of their bulky size, they just aren't as sexy as the LCD/Plasma. Other than that, the picture is supposed to be about as good. Am I understanding this correctly?
Looking at the specs, is this a pretty good set for the 360? I've heard that the larger sets aren't that great for video games.
Thanks in advance, this thread has been super helpful.

I've been looking at that one too. If I can get it for 899, I think it would be silly to pass it up. I need to get some opinions on it first though.Originally posted by HMcCoyHey guys...

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
Who here has that sony 30 in. CRT? Is there any lag when playing? I have a 37 in Sharp aquos LCD which has a slight delay when pushing a button on the controller. There also is a little bit of ghosting that goes on when playing a game with a lot of action. I'm thinking about grabbing a Sony 30 in. CRT for 360 just so I have the best picture quality available. Who has it? And is there any delay when playing it (most noticeable when using the kicking meter in madden or ncaa football)? Also how's the picture quality? Any feedback would be appreciated.Comment

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
CRT's don't have a delay. LCD's have refresh rates, the higher the number, the longer it takes for the screen to refresh. I think the best out there is 8ms. CRT's are by far, the best gaming TV's. I have the 34" Sony XBR CRT... I love it!Comment

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
I'm glad my TV is a CRT's, knowing that CRT's are reallt the best for gaming. The crazy thing right now is, I sold by xbox before I got my New HDTV, so I still yet to play a game on it.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerCRT's don't have a delay. Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
I'm torn on keeping my lcd to play 360 or to get a CRT for 360. Anyone out there with a Sharp aquos who is pleased with their gaming performance on it? I just feel that things get all blurry when there is a lot of action going on.Comment

Re: HDTV Questions and Answer Thread
I think it was CNet, but some site called his LG 30" the best 30" HDTV on the market, I could be wrong, but I know I read it somewhere. There's differences from your LCD, for example, CRT's are 1080i native, while LCD's are 720p native. If that means nothing to you, and you can deal with the size of a CRT, I would say go CRT, especially if you do a lot of gaming on it.Originally posted by SportGamer24Have you compared it to an LCD as far as gaming goes?Comment
