Yeah I got one at Radio Shack for $29 that takes one optical slot and changes it into 4 more. It works quite well.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

If you can afford $500, go for a 32" LCD. This way you'll have something nice for your 360 and a nice HDTV . Olevia has a decent lower priced HDTV.

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

Am shopping for a new tv. However, I am having a difficult time deciding whether to go with 720p or 1080p. Most of its use will be for watching sports and playing my 360. I do realize the 1080p will cost another $500 - $600. Am just attempting determine if its worth it. Is the difference in PQ that substantial? I am far from a techie, and would greatly appreciate anyones insight and or opinion.Comment

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

Are you looking for an LCD, DLP, Projection, Plasma?

Personally, unless you are a big movie buff, and have the HD add on, I'd stick to 720p. There is minimal difference until you get into the larger tv sets from my experience anyway.

Had to go tv shopping w/ my bro-in-law last week, and I was able to get him an awesome deal on a 1080p Sony SXRD, or else he would have stuck with a 720p.

Most people can't tell the difference. If you want to "future proof", go with 1080p... if you want a nice tv for a nice price... go 720p. Twitter - WTF_OS Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

Being that I normally recycle TV's every two years, is probably a wise choice to go with the 720p. By the time i'm ready to buy again, i'm sure there will be something bigger and better. Thanks for your help. Are you looking for an LCD, DLP, Projection, Plasma?
