Re: Another HDTV questions info thread

    this is probably your problem:

check to make sure that your tv can also do 1080 or 720, if it can't do any of those, make sure that you have those two checked off on your x-box dashboard. that should do the trick

Both are off, still no picture. I also see that my link doesn't work so here is the model number.

KV-36FS100 (Not a HDTV, but has component hookups)

As of now CRT's are still head and shoulders the best choice, but a CRT projector is UNGODLY expensive, and bulbs burn out, etc. So let's define best choice really.

The best choice for IMAGE and getting as close to film as possible is CRT by a very large margin.
But as far as cost, maintenance and setup goes, it's definitely DLP thus leading me to my purchase of the Infocus X1 DLP projector.

DLPs dont suffer burn in like LCDs and CRTs do either which makes them awesome for playing video games.

For anyone who can answer....I'm pretty sure I have an HD capatible dish on my house right now. When I moved in April of this year, DirecTv told me to in order to get my local channles through them I should order the "oval" dish. The new dish was free to me because I was moving I assume. Now, I don't have an HDTV and I'm sure neither one of ny receivers are HF compatible.
I'm considering buying the TiVo with DIrectTv receiver. Will this also serve as my future HD receiver whenever I switch over to HD through DirectTv?

                        Thanks!!
