Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
Yep. The geometry issues are why I didn't follow through on exchanging my 51inch PR tv in for the smaller slimfit. Seems to be a trend with all slimfits CRTs...from what I've read.Originally posted by JGib25 -

I got the warranty on it, so they're sending a technician out to look at it. If they can't fix it I'll just return it.Comment

Most likely the blurry text will be fixable, but not the geometry issues. The slimfits are notorious for that, although its about the only negative on that tv.Originally posted by JGib25I got the warranty on it, so they're sending a technician out to look at it. Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
The geometry problem isn't that big of a deal to me cause I don't notice it other than on ESPN.
The blurriness in that upper left part of the screen is annoying though.Comment

pf03ho: if you come in here from your locked thread, do NOT get the 55" Hitachi. We've had problems with them at work, and the pic quality isnt that good. The 50" Panasonic you posted is THE way to go.Jesus saves

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
Kev, that is a pretty good set. Has good PQ and good reliability. You might also consider the Sony 42A10. Its not DLP, but rather LCD projection. The picture quality is a little better, but its not as bright. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1118841724863Originally posted by Kev5890Jesus saves

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
I've seen them both right next to each other at the store and didn't see a difference in picture quality at all to be honest. You can't go wrong with any of those TV's though. Just go to best buy and check them out in person first.Originally posted by tater_132000Kev, that is a pretty good set. Has good PQ and good reliability. You might also consider the Sony 42A10. Also, you can get those two TV's for a smaller price at amazon.com.Comment
