So why did I buy into the technology for? I mean, if it doesn't look better, is there any reason to buy one? Could save quite a bit of money if you just went 720p/1080i, right? Maybe I just made the 1080p jump too quickly. Anything in the forseeable future that's going to make me say, "Dang, I wish I would have stuck w/ the 1080p?"

I'm sure it looks better, and technically it should. I'm just saying I couldn't tell the difference. I can't tell the difference in 720p/1080i, and people claim they can as well.So why did I buy into the technology for? I mean, if it doesn't look better, is there any reason to buy one? The tv will only do 1080p over HDMI cable. So until xbox releases a HDMI calbe for the 360, I won't know. But HD-DVD's and HD broadcast look amazing. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Ah, gotcha... I'm not sure. What do you all think? Save quite a bit of money, and stick 720p/1080i, or go with another 1080p set? I mean, the Sammy is a REALLY nice tv... but I just really can't tell that much of a difference in the resolutions. With that said, it's also one of the first true 1080p sets... so that could be a reason as well.Twitter - WTF_OS

If you already have a 61" Sammy that is capable of 1080P, then I don't see why you need another TV. My SXRD is great, but I think the Sammy's are great TVs as well.Ah, gotcha... I'm not sure. Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

:y4: Well, my uncle wanted the TV from the moment he seen it at my place. Long story short, I got a REALLY good deal on it... and after watching BD's on my 32" LCD, and comparing the picture w/ the Sammy DLP, I wasn't really as impressed with it as I thought I was. Which led me to look for something else, lol.

But yeah, I have a tendency to sell things that aren't in my current "want" list. But it keeps my hobbies less expensive this way at least.Twitter - WTF_OS

I highly recommend the Sony 1080p set. Should work great with your PS3. And it even matches your PS3.Ah, gotcha... I'm not sure. What do you all think?
