I'm pretty excited about this new season and I was happy to see previews for Deadwood and Entourage, both coming back in June.

hell yeah man, can't wait for Entourage. It's one of my favorite shows on tv.

Anyway, I wouldn't be suprised if Tony dies soon or is already dead. The writers and producers are so clever, they might pull a "Tarantino" and show the episodes backwards. Or just throw everyone for a loop and move on without the big guy. I doubt it, but I wouldn't put it past these producers. There are a lot of options that could happen.

My opinion....the best show on TV EVER.

My opinion....the best show on TV EVER.

The entire story revolves around Tony. He won't die until the last episodes if at all. Without Tony, there is no show. It would be like killing Jack Bauer in 24.

i wouldnt put it past them either, but you can see in the season preview trailer, quite a few scenes with Tony in them that were not from that first episode.

it was an excellent season premiere. good to have the sopranos back on tv.

But if the show did what jbubs suggested, Tony would be in all the scenes because he wouldn't have been shot yet, since it would take place before that.

I don't think there is a chance in hell they go in reverse. It would piss way too many people off, and this is the last season. Instead of the final moments of the series being a culmination and climax, they would be a beginning, in essence. No way that happens. I also see no way Tony would just be dead and the show moves on without him. Tony is the show, face it. Also, that would leave Dr. Melfi with nothing at all to do the whole rest of the run. The dynamic with her and Tony is far too much of an integral part of the show for that to happen.

If anything, I could see a scenario where Tony is incapacitated for a few episodes, and Christopher becomes the de facto boss, and basically creates a huge s&*$ storm that Tony has to clean up.

Did anybody notice the mic in the flowers when Tony & Carmela were discussing the sushi restaurant? I didn't, but on another message board, it was noted.

LOL, for the FBI's sake, let's hope it doesn't turn out like that bugged lamp from season 3.

I share your "best show ever" opinion.
No way Tony is dead. I think his shooting will somehow tie in with Fat Vito's (formerly SuperFat Vito) telegraphed aspirations to take over as NewJersey boss. He might see this as an opportunity to finish Tony off. Tony's temporary incapacitation might set off a struggle as to who takes over, but it would appear that Sylvio would get the nod. It will be interesting to see if Vito gets wacked if his homosexual status is revealed.

Doub't it, because a .38 won't kill a person of Tony's stature. I doub't he's going to be in the hospital for more than 1-2 episodes honestly, and the other fact is that Chase won't direct the epis in that order. btw filming is still going on..good stuff

Great stuff I'm glad it is back...I LOVE MEADOW(sp) I've been watching it since the first episode aired back in 99.
