High drama this week. Christopher is a pretty good shot and an even better psychopath. I was surprised that Paulie took Little Paulie's injuries so well. I wonder how Tony got the welts on his face (previews)?

considering how wire introduced their characters in season 4 (young kids), tonight's episode made me think of why Chase didn't utilize AJ and his crew alot earlier. it would've made it alot more interesting instead of making AJ a big sissy for 5+ seasons. 4 episodes won't be enough time.

all in all, Season 6 first part was the worst season of almost any show i watch regularly. it was horrible. the 2nd part has been alot better though.

Like MFLCommish said, the writers should have really been leading up to AJ becoming a badass heir over the course of the last 2-3 seasons instead of him being such a wimp. Now with only 4 episodes left they are going to try to do that which kind of makes no sense that they go about it this way.

It makes a lot of sense to me. First off, AJ already has shown flashes of a future mob career such as when he was running high school parties and charging people to get in. Like his dad, he's shown signs of depression, and only stayed for a very short time in college. The irony is that his parents celebrate his new found happiness when that happiness is coming from the very thing they have tried to shield him from for the entire series.

I also highly doubt that in the last 4 episodes, AJ is going to be made to look like the heir apparent. At best, I think they'll foreshadow AJ becoming part of the Mob, but I think it is more likely that something horrible happens to AJ very soon.

And really all of it does make sense. A.J. has gone through his life without a sense of direction and with always feeling like a victim. Like the time he had to give away his bike to that gang. A lot of people, including me, said that showed how he would never be in the Mafia, but in hindsight that was probably a good indicator he would be because of the fact that people like him who are victimized often seek out groups to feel powerful as a team.

Now that he's had a taste of a group overpowering a single person and sees it's effects and how much power it gave him, a former victim, and I think he'll very much move toward being an heir apparent. Also, this is much in line with what happened to Gotti and his son. Gotti was viewed as being a great and genius type leader like Tony is, but his son was nothing more than a somewhat simpleton brute who enjoyed hurting people. I think A.J. will be the worst kind of Mafia, because he will certainly be in it to hurt people more than really make money.

I bet Meadow's "mystery date" will be someone significant. Like one of the arab guys Tony ratted out to the feds or maybe an undercover agent, someone like that.

I dunno about that, could be. What I took from that scene was the four of them sitting down to dinner together for the first time in years. It was nostalgic for us as viewers as well as you could tell for Tony and Carmella. This is the end, it will probably be the last time we see the happy family we have come to love/hate sometimes.
