Alright folks, it's November...time to chime in on album of the year for 2007. If you could only pick one album from this year, what would it be?

                Prodigy-Return of the Mac.

Alchemist was nuts on this album. Prodigy is not the old P but still good enough to keep the album enjoyable. Shame that P lost some fans with lazy lyrics over the years cause a lot of people missed out on one of the better albums of the year.

                  El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead

I know the album didn't get a lot of love in this thread when it came out, but I love everything about - the beats, El's flow, the atmosphere, everything.

                    THANK YOU!

Finally someone who understands the different between genius and "noise." This album is still in my heavy rotation. Every major review site has done nothing but praise the effort, except here. I don't get, nor do I care...

Not one bad song. Lyrics were some of the best of the year.

With about 2 months left in the year, My Album of the Year is..."For Whom the Beat Tolls" Canibus.

This is by far his best work...This album is the perfect combination of beats and lyrics unlike his last couple of efforts. He has evolved from battle lyricist to this sort of L.A. Banks (Science Fiction...Minion) meets Joel Goldsmith (Mysticism) type wordplay. It's truly his lane. Plus on the album the beats are far superior to "Hip Hop for Sale".

Songs to check for on the album...

                              *Secrets Amongst Cosmonauts*
                              *One Ought Not to Think*
                              *Father Author, Poor Pauper*
                              *Dreamzzz*
                              *Poet Laureate Infinity Vol 3 & 4 * 11 min each Vol*
                              "I've Altered The Deal..."
