Awesome. They have a new track on some mix album called "Chrome Children."

Anybody know if Talib is coming out with a new album? I know he's got a new song out, "Listen" but I have not heard anything regarding an album.

Quick question. In the song "Walk Like A Man" by Murs on 3:16, second verse, some of the lyrics sound like their muted out; either that or Murs just stops in the middle of his flow and makes it awkward. It happens when Murs is rapping
Now I'm lookin at this ***** in this motherf***in' hat
Start talkin' that bulls**t like we was on some bulls**t
Motherf***in' and bull are muted out, but nothing else and the rest of the album isn't like this. Whats up?

                  Re: fans of underground rap?

                  CD's to look forward to...

Artist: Hall of Justus (The Justus League)
                  Album: "Soldiers of Fortune"
Producer(s): 9th Wonder; Evidence; Khrysis; Black Jeruz; Fatin; and More
                  Release Date: October 3rd

Reason: This is rap's finest coming together to spit hotness, nuff said. They are the best Clik around (much better than your G-Units and Harlem Worlds). 9th Wonder is on the beat, Khrysis is on the beat, Evidence is on the beat. Little Brother is on the track, Joe Scudda is on the track, The Away Team is on the track. It ain't gonna get much better than this people.

Chance of Buying it: 100%... Already Pre-ordered.

                  Artist: Sadat X
                  Album: "Black October"
Producer(s): Da Beatminerz; Diamond D; DJ Spinna; Ayatolla; J-Zone; DJ Pawl; Greg Nice; Marco Polo; Spencer Doran
                  Release Date: October 3rd

Reason: Sadat X's last album wasn't good, and neither were his other solo endevours, but I'll be damned if his albums don't catch my eye everytime they are released. Same goes for Lord Jamar and Grand Puba. What can I say? I just love Brand Nubian that much. Unfortunately this cd doesn't have many featuring artists. I'm not a fan of Brand Nubian's group members as soloists, but when they come together... every cd is classic.

Chance of Buying it: Not So Good ... but I will DL the song where he features Grand Puba and Lord Jamar!!!

                  Artist: Various Artists
                  Album: "Chrome Children"
                  Producer(s): N/A
                  Release Date: October 3rd

Reason: Fans of Adult Swim, this cd is directly tied within it. It features artists like the late J-Dilla, MF Doom and Madlib (Madvillain), MED, Aloe Blacc, and more. Should be a fun listen.

Chance of Buying it: Half and Half

                  Artist: Visionaries
                  Album: "We are the Ones"
Producer(s): KeyKool; DJ Rhettmatic; J-Dilla; Kev Brown; J-Rocc; DJ Khalil; Madlib; Polyhedron; James Alsander
                  Release Date: October 3rd

Reason: Has the same fire that the cd I previously mentioned has... Not much more to mention here except KEV BROWN is on it too.

Chance of Buying it: A percent better than Half and Half

                  To be continued next week.

Well, on Murray's Revenge, Murs doesn't swear in any song. I'm not sure why that is because he swears in Felt. Anyway, maybe it stems from that.

I don't think so because there are curse words throughout the album and even in the rest of the song. It only happens in the second verse.

                          Well I dunno then.

By the way, Tendrils, I noticed you're on last.fm. I just signed up, and yeah, I got some questions. First of all, when I asked for a rap and hip hop station, it throws in crap like trance and folk music, wtf? Does it depend on the type of songs I tag or the type of songs that I say "I love" or whatever.

Also how does the website work? I heard it's like a community but I don't really see much going on. I haven't had a chance to explore it much so I'm sure I'm missing some things.

Unless I'm looking for something completely new and different, I don't listen to the last.fm radio stations. When I do, I tend to listen to one of my friends personal stations instead of tracks that I have tagged. For the last.fm user, there is a site that combines the stat-keeping abilities of last.fm with the music-generator that is Pandora: http://pandorafm.real-ity.com/

The community aspect really depends on the people with your interests. There are groups on there (I'm in several) and some are more active than others (it really depends on the users). Then there are the journals. You can link artists to your journal, which in turn recommends the artists' fans to your journal.

Ok, so I've kinda figured some stuff out. I even joined a group. But I'm also the new kid and have no friends...so, Tendrils, will you be my friend? (and, uh, how do I even go about doing that?)

Also, I noticed your recent playlist basically had all Gnarls Barkley...how do you get the music by the same artist to play over and over again?

On my page (link in my sig) under my avatar there should be a "add as friend" button. Click that.

As for the Gnarls Barkley; I rip all my new CDs and favorites to the computer so I have easy access to. You know you can track what you listen on your media player right?
