I'm definitely getting it. I'm not sure how good this Michael Green guy is at writing comics (I don't know of any other work he's done comic-wise), but he's written two episodes of "Heroes" and six episodes of "Smallville," so I guess he has credentials.

Hey SPTO, did you read last week's Action yet? Great story, still sub-par art IMO. Maybe I wouldn't dislike the art so much if it wasn't the reason for the delay on the story. It just doesn't look like it should be causing such a delay.

The Order #1 comes out next week and I think I'll pick it up. I don't get many Marvel comics, actually the only one I get is Runaways, but this one looks real interesting.
                  THE ORDER #1
                  Written by MATT FRACTION
Pencils and Cover by BARRY KITSON
                  Variant Cover by STEVE MCNIVEN
THE ORDER introduces the all-new and Los Angeles-based crown jewel in Tony Stark’s FIFTY-STATE INITIATIVE. A team of Stark-branded and created super heroes, these young actors, athletes and models are infused with tremendous powers and even more tremendous fame, reborn as the First Super Hero Team of Tomorrow™ -- THE ORDER. Here the same ol'-same ol' means hooking up at the Standard, drinks at SkyBar and a death-duel on Sunset Blvd. against some villain too stupid to realize that, in Hollywood, the good guys always win. The catch: you can be fired at any point along the way. And every inch of your life will be subjected to intense public scrutiny. And if you survive all that for a whole year, you'll face mandatory retirement. And there's no guarantee you'll live to see that retirement. If you had one year to save the world, what would you do?
                  32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99
I have no idea what Stark's 50-state initiative is, but I love super-team books like JLA, Titans, etc, so this caught my eye. Then throw in the twist that they are a one-year operation, that could lead to many interesting plots so I'll give it a shot.

No fault to Marvel, I just like DC better so I put my money with them, but I always give comics fair shots. One reason I like Runaways is because they are fairly self-contained, meaning they don't involve themselves in the rest of the Marvel Universe too much. Not that being part of the Marvel Universe is bad, but for me, it would just get me more interested in what else is going on with Marvel and tempt me to buy more books. My wallet can't handle that, LOL. I'm hoping the same from The Order. Just great stories that don't make me have to have much knowledge of what is going on outside their title to understand what's happening.

Anyways, I made this post because Newsarama has a 9-page preview of the comic here: http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/C...1/preview.html
I don't know anything of the writer, but I enjoyed Barry Kitson's art in Legion of Super-heroes. I'm looking forward to picking this up next week. Anyone else getting it?</td></tr></tbody></table>

Well finally read the latest ACTION.

I'm NOT pleased. There's no way that an issue this poorly drawn could be delayed for so long. On top of all that it was one of those "transition" issues that's basically there to set up the next big part of the storyline! The writing was definitely very good and I love the nod to the past with Mon-El being in the Phantom Zone but psssh....I can't believe I waited so long for THAT.

I'm NOT going to be buying the annual that ends this storyline.

It is amazing how it has been delayed, I'm not sure what else the artist is working on, but it doesn't seem to be such high quality that it needs this much delay. I'm glad he's not part of Johns/Donner's Bizarro storyline coming up. But come on, you gotta get the conclusion to the story!

Hey guys, I'm looking into purchasing the Marvel Zombies and Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness graphic novels. Anyone ready the comics? They look really interesting and just have an awesome concept.

I finally got around to reading BATMAN #666.

That was the most incoherent POS writing i've seen in a loooong time. I was confused from page one til the end.

yeah... it's kinda weird when they throw those out of continuity or possible future stories in out of no where. My opinion is that they should just make a 2 or 3 issue mini out of them and concetrate the monthlies on what is currently happening. I didn't hate the issue, I just didn't like it. It would have been better as a mini-series or something. I'm kinda waiting for Batman to get a new writer, which is strange because a lot of the time I like Morrison, lately though... I haven't really liked All-Star Supes either, which gets big raves all over. I hope his Final Crisis work will be good.

Actually I'm liking Morrison's work on Batman it's just that issue was crappy. I'm really looking forward to the club of Batman story arc.
