You should check out the Injustice comic book too, that has been a great read so far too.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Just picked up the all X-Women X-Men #1 issue today and I have to say if it keeps being written like the first issue was it will hands down be my favorite of the current ongoing X titles. The characterizations interactions and the teamwork in the action sequences were outstanding.
I like Wood and Coipel (awesome artist my first exposure to him) didn't try and sexify the team either. Plus it doesn't hurt that Psylocke, one of my favorite X-Men, is now some badass death psy ninja enforcer. Kinda interested if they're going to keep Jubilee as a vampire or if that was retconned out. No indications so far if so.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
So I read 'Tec 21 and the first issue of Superman Unchained both written by my favorite writer Scott Snyder.
The kick off to Year Zero has some interesting possibilities but I hate thatSpoilersomehow the Riddler was hired by Bruce's uncle to be the mastermind behind Wayne Industries while Bruce was gone. That REALLY changes things up in my mind.
Superman Unchained....I liked it a lot but I thought they would wipe the slate clean a bit rather than sticking to current continuity. The premise of the first arc is VERY interesting and one I think could work on the big screen.
SpoilerBasically the military has what they believe to be the REAL Superman who's been in their possession for 75 years.
Jim Lee's art is FANTASTIC though knowing him this book could fall behind if DC doesn't have a lot of his art in the can already. Snyder does a great job with both the Superman aspect and the Clark Kent aspect. I especially liked his interaction with Jimmy and Lois. I could see Superman's supporting cast playing a bigger role in this book than they are in the other Super Titles. While there is some continuity in this, the book is remarkably new reader friendly and if anyone wants to read a Superman book this is the one i'd recommend going to.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I like Zero Year too and I picked up Unchained yesterday as well. Will probably read through Unchained today and post feedback.SpoilerTo be honest I don't remember the Riddler's origin, so I have no issues
over his introduction as a Wayne Industries employee.
Regarding the Marvel U:
I was dismayed to find out that Marvel canned one of my favorite titles, Winter Soldier. I was liking the direction of the book once Brubaker left, thought there was a lot of life left in it, and the book sold fairly well. Lots of speculation that it has something to do w/ next spring's Cap movie.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Anyone use a tablet to read digital comics? Would you recommend it?
I burned myself out by purchasing too many titles during the New 52 and lost interest. I'm thinking that if I limit myself to 5-8 titles and not having to worry about getting to the comic book store every week or so (pain in the *** in my area). Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel have got me hyped about comics again.
Edit: Also what titles would you recommend? Superman, Green Lantern, X-Men and Iron Man are automatic for me.Last edited by GiantYankee; 06-16-2013, 10:19 PM.New York Giants (8 NFL Championships-4 Superbowls )

Yeah I've never read a comic before, but with the recent run of Superhero movies and I loved the Justice League cartoons on Cartoon Network as a kid. I too am thinking about picking up a kindle in the future to try them out, maybe check out some of the marvel characters I'm not too familiar with if I like reading the DC comics.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con was a lot of fun, kinda done w/ lines for a while though between Stan Lee x2 (signature, photo) and Rob Liefeld. Didn't bother w/ the Jim Lee line because I've got a bunch of books signed by him already.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Superman/Wonder Woman comic coming in October. DC's really taking this pairing seriously! Potential World's Finest quality, with making out after.
Finally, us comic guys (and gals, if you're out there) have our very own Twilight series.

DC seems to really be banking on this Supes/WW thing as being something longterm. It's something that could've been done years ago though I always thought a WW/Batman pairing would be more intriguing.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
