Re: Comic Book Fans....
They're having a Deadpool sale on Comixology: http://www.comixology.com/Deadpool-S...ollection/1281
Anyways, what I really wanted to talk about was the Batman and... book right now. It's a bit angsty but i'm really enjoying the whole "Batman gone unhinged" storyline in the wake of Damien's death. Peter Tomasi has Bats down perfectly in regards to how he's reacting to it all as I can see Bruce totally shutting down and being cold and suicidal in his quest to avenge Damien/rid Gotham of crime FOREVAH! The showdown between Bats and Batgirl last issue was VERY good.
I just don't know how Tomasi can wrap this up short of Batman nearly getting killed or getting a replacement Robin. I guess we'll see.Comment

Just finished reading the Watchmen. Definitely a must read. I think the movie gets better after reading it.
Plan on finishing Ex Machina soon. By far my favorite comic.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Crazy endings to Captain America and All-New X-Men this week. I was especially riveted to the tone and the ending of the Cap issue. Although apparently all may not be as it seems according to Remender in the letters section. We'll know everything by the end of Cap #10. As for X-Men?

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Oh definitely, AN X-MEN is definitely an exploration of Jean Grey more than anything else. I also loved Bendis' kidding around of how ineffective young Iceman was back in the day but in the end he proved a little helpful. It's a nice callback to how the character was treated within the first 20ish issues of the original book.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
What If? is back, yay. Well for a short run for AvsX anyways.
Quasli-spoilerish story thus far:
Spoiler
- Instead of Cyclops confronting the Avengers on Utopia, Magneto, Namor, Stom and Hope do.
- Namor ends up smacking Wolverine, furball gets mad and an oopsie happens.
- Magneto goes all Magneto, yells that the Avengers drew first blood, and lets just say the Helicarrier is a big metal ship.
- Preview for next issue: The 5 Avengers in space trying to stop the Phoenix all have glowy eyes, I suspect we have a new Phoenix Five.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Continuity can be a bitch sometimes. I think there are FAR too many Avengers related material out there. In the main Uncanny Avengers book the team is on the verge of splitting to pieces while in Cable and X-Force that same fractured group is out to grab Cable! It's kinda confusing if you don't compartmentalize things. Oh and you just gotta love the cameo of those 1980s vehicles in that Cable issue!

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Hm, in some ways I wouldn't want him brought back as Morrison really defined that character and I wouldn't want it diluted but the ramifications of such an act would be interesting especially for Batman/Bruce especially if it's him that did that resurrecting.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Either way, was already discussed in this thread at the time also. I'm all for spoilers on recent stuff but think that was a bit ago, and akin to spoilering that Doomsday kills Superman a few months after the hoopla that surrounded that.
