Talon #8 was a gooood issue, I honestly never saw it coming and assumed that Calvin Rose would be on the run for awhile. I like the direction though and this opens up a lot more conflict in Gotham and offers some longevity to a larger plot/struggle w/ Calvin's character.

Any of you go to comic cons? Amazing Vegas Comic Con is in town for father's day weekend, wife got me VIP + Stan Lee Experience (autograph, photo). Jim Lee, Liefeld, Capullo, Remender and others. Not going as a collector, just going to get some of my old favorites and a handful of newer books signed (like original and newer X-Force #1). Probably Amazing Spider-Man 41 (first app. Rhino) for Stan Lee. Going to basically thank him for my imagination and making me who I am today as a result of my first job that was in a comic book shop.

With the bulk of my collection consisting of 90s comics from that first job, have a lot of Lee/Liefeld and other.

Anxious to see the panels announced, and VIP gets me around a lot of the lines that would have otherwise kept me away, or at least into smaller ones.

By happenstance I was at the Bmore Con last year, and got to enjoy the Stan Lee/John Romita Sr panel. Was cool to just be in the same room as both of those legends. I will go to the Bmore Con again this year too, but will probably just do the one day gen. admission.

Is that Harper Row as the new Catwoman (Catgirl?) in Detective Comics 21? She appears to have the catsuit and a whip.

What's up with Daredevil? I thought End of Days was killing him off but there's another new story this week called Dark Nights. I wasn't reading it so I don't really know what that's about. All the reviews say it's fantastic but I guess there'll be a trade soon enough thoguh they don't always make it to digital.

Haven't started on the new mini but End of Days was clearly out of continuity as the main book is being written (very well I might add) by Mark Waid. Essentially in End of Days:

Anybody know enough about Rocketeer to recommend anything? I know there's a couple new TPBs and there's the collections of the old-ones (which seem like a safe bet to me), but I thought I would check first.

                Dumb question:

Injustice (the game) has rekindled some interest in comic books for me. I downloaded both the DC and Comixology apps (which are basically the same) and thought about downloading a series or two for my iPad. Is that the best way to go about it?

It is for me but I have no other option because there's no store here anymore. I'd rather have the physical books but there's nothing wrong with the digital format. Suppose there is an advantage in that the older stuff is 99 cents to $2 and there's no tax.

Well remember that originally DKR was not cannon it was only in later years that it became so but anyways, from what I can tell it's in the future and doesn't seem to have a link to current continuity.

So I picked up #13 of DC's Earth 2. It was the variant sketch cover. I picked up the book because I just fell in love w/ the cover. After reading it though it has me rather intrigued.

Anyone reading Earth 2 and can fill me in on 0-12?

In #1 Steppenwolf kills Wonder Woman and Superman during an Apokolips invasion. Batman sacrifices himself to take down an Apokolips tower to end the war. Supergirl and Robin fly through a boom tube and end up on Earth 1 as Powergirl and Huntress.

I didn't read it again until the very misleading annual which wasn't much about the new Batman and then another Wonder Woman showed up at the end of that too.

The whole annual seems like a prologue to something that'll come up very soon in the book. I find Earth 2 interesting but i'm more interested in Worlds Finest which has Power Girl and Huntress stuck in the regular DC world.

Hey thanks guys, I like the Captain Steel character, had never seen him before, and the backstory on him in issue# 13 was cool. Has he been featured in any other Earth 2 issues?
