Not surprising. Fox always thought Wolverine is the end all be all of the X-Men when it comes to the movies

If they could pull it off something a little more faithful could have been great. With the huge cast I have high hopes that it isn't a Wolverine and a the X-Men movie but honestly that's what I'm expecting.

So I see FOX is taking the old Marvel tactic when it comes to Wolvie. I mean Jackman is good and all but at some point people are going to get tired of it being all Wolverine all the time. I really think the original DOFP storyline would make a great movie especially done more faithfully.

I think in modern times, a female lead to keep the story honest w/ the book rather than another Hugh Jackman movie would've been awesome. With the response that the latest Ms. Marvel has gotten I think that Fox/Marvel is missing out by not making Kitty Pryde the focal point.

It's kind of annoying that they want to feature him so prominently when there are soooo many awesome characters. It's an awesome team which should be featured as such, but that's the problem w/ Marvel having sold the license to FOX.

Marvel Productions features the Avengers well as a team, if they were doing Xmen too I think we would see an equitable team of Xmen rather than a "Wolverine and the Xmen".

The cast is outstanding and is what has me really looking forward to movie. I love Fassbender as a young Magneto, and McAvoy as a young Prof-X. Halle Berry is a great Storm, but what's interesting about the cast is that on IMDB they list a Bishop, Warpath, Sunspot, and Toad... all of which are not a part of the Days of Future Past story... Meanwhile IMDB lists no reference to Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, or Destiny who made most of the Brotherhood outside of Mystique.

It's going to be a weird story, and a great cast telling it...

Hey if anyone wants to trade digital codes let me know. I am looking for a punished #2, and have A LOT of titles I have not redeemed.

              This is really lame.

Of late, Marvel has been ruling the roost when it comes to collecting their comic books, with book after book being considered far superior to DC Comics'

Well I don't think it's something to lose sleep over but it does seem to be pretty shoddy. Generally Marvel/DC uses a lot better quality paper for their hardcovers than that.

As someone who recently started buying more HC/TPB editions is just really disappointing.

There is another article showing the same quality issues now affecting their comics now, not just the TPB/HCs.

Anyone read the Kingdom Come series? I was thinking of giving it a shot. Just caught up with all the Injustice series, which was a fun read. Can't wait to see what happens.

After reading the entire run of injustice in one sitting last week I more or less did the same thing with the game this weekend. It's too bad their movies and must of their actual books aren't this good, id read a lot more DC.

                      Edit: haven't read Kingdom Come.

                        Bumping the above.

I see this as a great opportunity with the small OS comics community to trade digital codes so we can expand our reading.

Guys on the CBR forums have subscriptions setup with each other.

Injustice has been great so far, I read Vol. 1 in one day, just so fast-paced. Kingdom Come on the other hand, was pretty bland.

Blackest Night is also pretty good, but I'm mainly a DC guy.

I remember SPTO mentioning something about the editorial mishaps of Marvel books lately. Since that post in this thread a few months back I've seen numerous grammatical issues, here's an atrocious one from the prologue to issue #12 of Guardians of the Galaxy:
