Re: Comic Book Fans....
I wish they'd just streamline the whole Avengers line. Make it something like 3-4 books and make them CONSISTENT. I dropped all the Avengers books because they got way too dense and there were just too many of them.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

and... Original Sin ends with a boring thud. Spoilers for the X-Book I haven't picked up today @ Bleeding Cool for anyone interested... Today’s Uncanny X-Men Retcons Entire X-Men History. Again.
Bring on AXIS. Hopefully Nick Fury isn't involved in any way.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Sigh Marvel loves to add a bunch of crap to the x-men history. Especially to **** on Xavier. I guess they want to show he is basically the same as Magneto

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Original Sin: What the hell did I just read?! That has to be one of the lamest, stupidest "event" comics i've read in YEARS. It actually started off with a pretty good premise but with each installment it got muckier, convoluted and just plain irritating to read and all soSpoilerthey can make Nick Fury the new Watcher?!?!
This was easily a case of a summer event "just cuz" they HAVE to have one every year.
Xavier's will: Well....That was interesting. i'm willing to roll with it as it doesn't particularly make him out to be EVIL or anything thoughSpoilerthe revelation that he's married to Mystique is completely out of left field
Death of Wolverine: Charles Soule is writing this....."sighs". I'm not the biggest fan of Soule's work so that's already a strike against this. I was also expecting this to be more of a natural offshoot to how the Wolverine solo book ended but instead we're put in some nebulous time frame that doesn't quite jive with how Logan's story is progressing. I did like the set up however, again I have an issue with the villains. Actually I have no issue with the main villain as revealed at the end of Issue 1 but the secondary villain (who makes a lot of sense generally) SHOULD NOT be involved in this especially with the way Logan's last story arc played out. That being said, I am reading this with some interest as the first issue had a very 1970s Walking Tall type of vibe to it and had a mood that was quite fitting. I don't think that will be maintained throughout but it was a good hook for what is essentially Wolverine's "death" story.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Well it's pretty clear that Death of Wolverine doesn't necessarily follow up with the latest run. Can literally pick it up and start from there. That being said. Part 1 wasn't too bad, looking forward to part 2 on Wednesday.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: Comic Book Fans....
So...Original Sin...it's as if Jason Aaron was neutered by Marvel. Everything was going good, Winter Soldier kills Nick Sr, and from that point on it was a wreck.
SpoilerSo if Fury Sr. is alive and now the "new" watcher how long can he be?! He already said his infinity formula was wearing thin and he was finally dying, so how does this get ret-con'd now? Has he consumed some of Uatu's power?Last edited by JBH3; 09-09-2014, 08:52 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
