Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
I was trying to wait it out and just wait to see it in the IMAX theatre. But I'm getting kind of antsy. Does anyone know about any difference between the IMAX experience of Batman compared to the regular viewing? I read that some scenes were made specifically for IMAX theatres. I just want the full experience.Comment

Just maybe, if done right, Batman could be seen as the villain in Gotham's eyes, and he would have to prove himself otherwise.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I'm guessing that, unless they're using digital projection, you're just getting a blurrier image, and it's probably not worth it. But unless you haven't seen it before, since you're going to see this movie anyway and you do want the full experience, I guess it's worth a shot. When it comes down to it, the movie itself is definitely worth the admission of an IMAX ticket on its own.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
IMDB rating jockeying is hilarious and kind of sad.
That said, I voted the movie a 10. Partly because it's one of my 5 favorite movies, but mostly because it really seems to upset people that it's ranked #1. It's like trolling, but you can't get in trouble for it.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
SpoilerTechnically, thats how Nolan has set it up to be like with the ending to TDK.
By the way, what gadgets and action scenes weren't you feeling, Blzer? I thought they were all pretty cool and kind of necessary. The Bat-Pod I thought was absolutely amazing on screen. I've definitely learned my lesson to never doubt anything Nolan does with Batman. At first I wasn't feeling the Tumbler or Bat-Pod, but Nolan makes it hard not to love those babies.

And, it's main point in the movie wasn't to be an uber-gadget. It was to further show Batman's desperation to get the Joker, whatever the means, just like he says.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
SpoilerThis was indeed the one gadget that I really didn't like. Not only did it look appear goofy, but it was also just unnatural IMO. I completely understand how it fits for Batman, but it was a bit of a stretch.
The other one was the plane magnet thingy. I don't really know what it was, our sound in the theater dropped out and got noisy around that area when Bruce was talking about going back up to a plane to Fox. I mean the whole scene was epic, but it just looked a bit awkward to me.
By the way, does anybody know if the Batpod was always a feature to the Tumbler, or if Fox worked on it "between movies" as a new feature?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

SpoilerI didn't mind the use of the sonar, but I hated how it looked. Light up eyes? Come on.Comment
