very glad when they killed Rachel. Her character was boring and felt like it didn't really have a place in the story.

It was a fine character to have in the first one to give someone who knows his past, but she didn't fit.

I'm not sure what else needs to be said about Ledger's performance. I doubt anybody will top his performance before the Oscars cut off date.

I really enjoyed The Dark Knight but the movie felt like it was at least 10 minutes too long. Outside of any scene involving the Joker, I won't remember any other scene 20 years from now.

I don't know what the future of the Joker character is, but I would be interested to see Johnny Deep or Jude Law play the character.

I really enjoyed The Dark Knight but the movie felt like it was at least 10 minutes too long. Outside of any scene involving the Joker, I won't remember any other scene 20 years from now.

I felt it was 10 minutes too short. I would have liked to hear some things about his parents again (between Bruce and Alfred), which is really the first thing that got him into the gig. There are some other things as well, but that's the big one.

All I have been doing throughout these days since watching it is thinking about it. Seriously, this is getting scary. I can't stop thinking about this movie, and I feel like I'm going to go crazy if I don't see it again. Soon. Ah!!

cool that makes sense. I didnt realize it at the time. I was like "damn Bruce Wayne is cold" lol ...looking back on that scene it dawned on me that he told him the opposite locations. That is very Joker

People have listed a bunch of cool names for villians in the next film, which got me thinking. Is there any possible way that the next film can't be a let down? You have one of those all-time classic films that kills the reviews, racks in millions, and has oscar worthy performances with one of the greatest battles between hero and villian.

What I always thought was so great about The Joker compared to the other Rogues was that he was a combination of Riddler's humor and Two-Face's evil.

Just seems like an impossible act to follow.

Johnny Depp is one of the few guys that I think could actually pull off playing The Joker if they did recast it.

There were actually two times in the movie that I thought: "Is that Depp?"

I forget the first, but I'm pretty sure the second was the hospital scene.

My thoughts on that scene:

I was left under the impression that Batman went to save Harvey. I didn't catch anything about how the joker switched locations. I thought Batman was displaying how selfless he was by going after Harvey and not the girl he loved because in Gotham, Harvey meant more to everyone than Rachel. Harvey stood up against the baddies and was going after them hard, pushing for them to get locked up. He was the hero of the city and people saw him as inspiration and hope.

So I thought that was why Batman went after Harvey. So that Gotham didn't lose it's hero.
