Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
Also, Sam Raimi has said someone else may make a new Spider-Man saga. But, they would use different actors, and Sam Raimi wouldn't be involved.Comment

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
Now about Gwen Stacy, i was like this girl looks so freakin familiar, except for the blonde hair of course. Then it hit me.............she was the Lady in "Lady In the Water." Decent movie. I still think she was pretty in the movie, way more so than Mary Jane. I don't find Kristen Dunst all that pretty. She has a wide faceComment

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
I'm not sure how anyone could even compare this film to the first two.
I really liked the first two, probably at an equal amount. It made me really excited to see the third one.
There was WAY too much cheeziness (emo spiderman, american flag, etc.), too many bad guys made the story line darte around too much (I think it could have done without Sandman or without Venom, who I thought was fricken awesome in the movie), and the ending left a lot to be desired, especially if this is the last Spiderman movie.
If you go by the action scenes alone, it was a terrific film. But you can not ignore the shortcomings in the rest of the film, IMO. I'm not film critic. I am usually pretty hard on movies, especially when I see them in theatres. I saw the first Spiderman at home, if I remember right, and absolutely loved it; I saw the second one in theatres and loved it as well. This one was just bad... it really went in a different/bad direction.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
Just got back from seeing it. It was good, not as good as the first 2 though. Dragged on too long, and some real cheese in some of the scenes. All in all, a good summer flick.Comment

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
It was definitely the worst of the three. A lot of the movie felt forced and it seems to me that nearly all of the actors just "showed up" for their parts. There was too much cheeziness (as has been previously stated) with the dancing, emo-type development of Parker, and even some of the dialogue between Aunt May and Peter.
-Franco was good as the Goblin but extremely bad in between.
-Dunst was horrible overall. It really seems like she is tired of the part as has been suggested in the press.
-Maguire was good but his part really wasn't written too well and definitely not as good as the first two.
Topher Grace was the best actor in the movie as Brock and Venom (although Church wasn't far behind) as far as I'm concerned. He nailed it.
It was cool to see one of the coolest comic book villians finally make it to the big screen but it wasn't enough to save the movie in my opinion. It was a pretty big disappointment in my book and I've been a huge Spidey fan for nearly 25 years.Comment

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
Well, I had high expectations, so that was part of my problem.
I thought it was a good movie, but not a memorable one like I was hoping. Lackluster in some respects. The pacing and plot emphasis definitely needed improvement. I'd say that I liked 1 and 2 better. I don't regret seeing it opening night, but I was hoping for more.
Rating: 3.5/5
On the plus side, I definitely saw some potential in the Fantastic 4 preview. Could there actually be more reason than just Jessica Alba to watch this one?
I'd also like to throw in that we watched the movie at a newer theater that uses the DLP Digital Projection... and wow! The picture was excellent -- crystal clear and worth the little extra money over going to a different theater.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
I liked it but ...
1. To many lame parts? Spidery American Flag
2. Parker at the jazz club dancing...
3. Parker walking around for 20 minutes pointing his finger at people
4. When topher Grace was venom he shouldn't of talked or they shouldn't have showed his face. When they showed his face he looked like a tar vampire..not to mention when he was venom his vocie just took away from venoms character.
He was a great eddy brock thoe.-JoshComment

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
So, does the disappointment of Spider-Man 3 compare to the disappointment of 24 when you guys say that the scenes are too drawn out and boring? Because I personally don't mind that kind of pace. If it's like that, I suppose it's cool.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Why don't you just go see it, by reading the thread you're going to have most of it spoiled by now anyway.Comment

Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter
I'm trying to avoid most spoilers, and I think that I have, heh.
I actually had tickets for the midnight showing on Thursday, but they were with my family friends that had a last-minute emergency that they had to take care of where they couldn't go, so I sold them to some dorm mates. I'm going to either then find a time to see it with them tonight, or I'm going to wait until I go home for the summer, mainly because I have finals starting this week and ending next week, and I won't really have too much time to see it.
I also want to see it in an IMAX theater now, so I figure it would be best if I wait a couple of weeks anyway.
I'm just wondering what kind of movie I'm walking into, because I've seen many movies where a lot of people were disappointed and I loved it, and vice-versa. I'm also just wondering what group I should bring... if my little sister would be happy seeing this movie, or maybe some of my friends instead.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
