    Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter

Just saw it myself. It wasn't quite what I was expecting (not in a good or bad way, but just the action scenes, the way the story progressed, etc.), but bringing my little sister along, it really made me feel good that it was something that she liked. I personally thought that the Emo Peter scenes were hilarious, though well out of place. IMO the Peter/Harry fight scene in his house was the best fight of all of the Spider-Man movies, and it hardly required any webbing at all haha.

I still think that I'd rank 2 above 3, but I'd say 3 above 1. There are places where, if I could change them, that I would... but I was very satisfied with it.

Oh, one more thing: I never read the comics or knew much about the characters in the past or anything, but before seeing the movie I thought of Venom as being some sick badass. Honestly, I never really liked the enemy the entire time that he was on screen. It's not like he was too rushed or anything (which he definitely was, considering she never knew the name of the bad guy), but Venom just wasn't that cool to me like I thought he would be. Eddie Brock was awesome, on the other hand.

        Re: Spiderman 3 Chatter

I finally got to see this movie tonight and overall I liked it, probably my second favorite of the Spidey movies behind the first one. The movie was just a little weird though at times, some of it was really cool and some of it was really corny. I guess the corny parts were mainly once Peter got the symbiote suit on because it enhanced his nerdy behavior. It was just a little too nerdy to be funny.

I thought Sandman was awesome though, definitely my favorite villian of the three movies. Venom on the otherhand... I agree with Blzer. He just didn't do it for me. He looked cool and all, but I was expecting something different I guess. I definitely was NOT expecting the voice of Venom to remain sounding like Topher Grace, that was pretty poor I thought. But I too thought that Eddie Brock was a great character.

Anyway, I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, I thought it did a great job advancing the stories of our main 3 characters. I was real happy with the redemption of Harry and I thought the movie had a really good ending.

he's my favourite too mainly because he really wasn't a bad guy you know. He was thrust into a bad situation and he was weak. I like that there was some redemption to his character at the end.

Somehow I think it was a little different in the comic books.

yeah, I like villains that are more than just straight homicidal maniacs. Those guys are cool too, but villains like Sandman in this movie give you more of a story.

Going to see this at 1:10pm, finally. Don't know why I waited so long, but I decided I didn't want to wait anymore.

Looking at the schedule for the movie at my local theater, they still have it showing on four(4) different screens at the same time. I used to work at the theater, and this is the first I have ever seen them play the same movie on so many screens. Usually, they would show it on a maximum of two.

Is the movie still bringing in so many people, that they need to have four different screens playing the movie at the same time? Considering each individual room could hold up to about 300 people at a time. Don't people work or go to school during the day?

I went to a 6:15 showing on Monday night, there were only 3 other people in there besides me and the guy I went with.

Wow, then I wonder why my theater has four different screens playing it. The theater has ten(10) different screens; you'd think they wouldn't need to use four of them on one movie. Especially since the movie has been out for a few weeks, and POTC: At Worlds End, opens tonight.

They have it on 5 screens where I saw it and there are a couple other theaters in my area showing it on 3 plus screens. I think it is just a lack of other movies right now and will probably decrease starting tomororw.

Enjoy the movie though, it's a good one.

I went last Friday, tried to get an 8:35 showing. That was sold out, so I tried 9:05. Sold out...

                      9:35? Try again.

                      10:15? Heh heh... ALLLLLLRIGHT!!!

Comes out on DVD tomorrow. Buying it once Target opens. Can't wait!

If anybody knows of any stores breaking street date, let me know. Thanks.

I don't care what anybody says, either; this movie was awesome. I would like to beat this movie to death as much as Saw, only I haven't started out with this franchise since the comic book days, so I don't know of many things that were accurate.

It's not a bad movie, just totally underwhelming.

I assume, since I actually like them, that this is how people felt about The Matrix Reloaded & Revolutions. A lot of money on & behind the screen that resulted in wasted potential.

Problem in this case is that the source material is so well-known.
