        I saw that exactly happen with Alias, and it may very well happen on lost as well. But for now, it is still much too compeling for me to stop watching it. I am hooked............so far.

                I read that Abrams had very little to do with last season's episodes because he devoted all his time to MI:3. I watched Alias all 5 seasons and I liked it a lot. Only one season did I not like, and that was season 4.

                    Well Alias was J.J. Abrams baby, so he had way more control of the show than lost. I believe that if anything that this is Damon Lindelof's show and I don't think he'll have questions unanswered

                        I read that Abrams had very little to do with last season's episodes because he devoted all his time to MI:3. I watched Alias all 5 seasons and I liked it a lot. Only one season did I not like, and that was season 4.
                        Nobody liked season 4 of Alias. The problem was that the network brass concluded that the whole Rimbaldi storyline was too far developed and too dense for a newbie to the series to pick up and follow. So they decided to write a bunch of little one-and-done episodes where some event totally unconnected to the main plotline would happen and be resolved, all in the course of one episode, to draw new fans to the series. But all that happened was that the hardcore fans hated it.

                        At least Lost was smart and did a one-hour summary show instead of dumbing down the show itself....

                            People have been telling me Lost is a show I would enjoy so I watched for the first time last night.

                            I thought it was pretty interesting. The babe factor is pretty high with Julie Bowen, Evangeline Lilly, and Elizabeth Mitchell. It was a little bit weird seeing Matthew Fox as another character and not Charlie Salinger.

                            I'm still on the fence if I should watch the first 2 seasons on DVD. I don't have time to watch all the previous episodes right now although I understand there will be a 13 week break coming up. I watched a little bit of the recap show last week and read a newbie guide at EW.

                                    I've only seen the first five minutes...before the "LOST" logo comes up...and I haven't looked at this thread(I'll watch the full episode tomorrow afternoon...the ABC-player doesn't fully work at school, but it did give me the first 5 minutes)

                                                    My copy of Season 2 just arrived from Amazon (I have yet to see it). Its going to be an awesome (extended holiday) weekend catching up.

                                                            Like I said, I watched a little bit of the recap show and read a newbie guide first.

                                                            I don't have time to watch the first 2 seasons right now and I didn't want to jump into Season 3 blind. I had to make a tough choice.

                                                            I remember reading some of the main characters that were killed off in the previous 2 seasons while reading the local paper the past 2 years. I'm still deciding if I should stick with the show (although I'm leaning towards yes) next week and beyond.
