    Good episode

Hopefully with Sayid's "interrogation" scheduled for next week there will be major revelations about the foundations of the Others.

I wonder how much Juliette doesn't know about the monster is purposely done to keep her away from knowing the full truth.

I'd bet that Ben knows a lot about the monster.

Next week looks good. As the show goes on, Ethan's character gets more interesting. So we'll see what Sayid gets out of Juliet.

Why not go back to the beach to bring them back to the houses? Wouldn't that be a bit more civilized, especially if they have running water and BEDS!!!!

Maybe that will be part of Juliet's "agenda".

Sayid is on the right track though. What was up with the monster's flashing lights in Juliet's face? Why did it seem to only affect her? It was like it was taking a picture.

In response to the flashing lights from the monster on Juliet...

My guess is that it's some sort of malfunction, like the monster can't process her or react to her. Lindeloff said in one of the podcasts that we saw the monster last season a lot more then we thought, with my guess being Kate's horse, Yemi (not a stretch), Jack's dad, Hurley's friend, etc...that the monster becomes something from a character's past in order to influence the present.

With Juliet, not saying she's "pure" or anything, but maybe she's an anomaly and the monster just can't figure her out...

Another thing about the monster, which I mentioned to my wife before it happened, was how it couldn't penetrate the sonic fence. I'm thinking it's not under any control by the Others, and that it was created to keep the Dharma stations in line (make sure the folks kept to their posts, etc). The sonic fence kind of lends itself to the monster as a mechanical cloud of sorts. Then again, who knows!

Great episode, though! I'm really glad they've sped up the island traversing, where we get from one side to the other in a single episode as opposed to three or four!

LOST is crazy good right now. I really can't complain about this show, as the writers have taken their game to a whole different level lately.

                        Another great episode!

Smokie was intriguing, the flashing lights made me think it was searching for a "file" or something to recognize Juliet. I don't know what's going on down the road but it definitely looks exciting. We'll finally have an almost reunited cast.

This is what people have complained about the show, that's exactly what logically most people would do and the show never even mentioned it.

Those are some very interesting theories.

I'm definatley going to pawn them off as my own when discussing the episode with my friends. Awesome

Good episode, but not great. Locke is going to become the leader of the others. He is the only one that has harnassed the power of the island. Ben can't or he would have recovered faster.

Whatever happened to Rose who was cured of cancer? I would have thought that she would have teamed up with Locke to uncover the healing powers of the island.

To me, the most important part of this episode was Locke. The Kate stuff was just "filler". There will also be a dynamic when Jack gets back, because Sawyer is the possible new leader in town.
