Re: Friday Night Lights show
Also, it was pretty cool how Street and Riggins relationship has came full-circle as Street actually helped carry Riggins to the sideline after he took that big hit.NCAA Vets League: Arkansas Razorbacks (9-2, 6-1)

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Agreed, she does look younger than she is. But that's usually the case when it comes to acting, right? Once you reach your teens, and up until mid-to-late twenties, you can play almost any age in that range. Or, that's what it seems like.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Last night's episode was solid. Lol, who would think there would be so much chaos over a girl cheating on her b/f. Doesn't that always happen in high school? Was nice to see Lyla's dad actually being a father for once.
Really liked how the game played out, though I could have done without the cheesy line at the end (don't want to spoil).
I guess one of the big storlines to play out is Smash's drug use as I imagine he will get caught at some point.
What a great show!Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Kind of funny that the actress who plays Julie is 17, while the actress who plays Tyra is 23 and the actress who plays Lyla is 26.
Aimee Teegarden (Julie) is the only one even remotely close to high school age! Minka Kelly (Lyla) is going to have to retire from the high school role sooner or later.
Take care,

Re: Friday Night Lights show
I'm assuming you're referring to the line by the announcer during the last play of the game? Yeah, I noticed that too and that was the first thing I thought of as well. Pretty tacky line I gotta admitComment

Assume you mean Smash helping out Riggins...

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Am I the only one who thinks this show has some terrible writing?
Everytime I watch it, there are things that happen that make little or no sense based on any previous episode, and they'll just randomly introduce new stuff that is the focus of entire episodes.
A couple of examples come to mind:
1. The episodes where Riggins ex-GF hooked up with that dude from LA. WTF? How does that fit into anything about the show in any way?
2. They randomly introduce the hispanic defensive back who gets kicked off the team and they make it out in the previews like its a major character getting kicked off the team
3. There has never been any sort of mention about Smash's dad, and all-of-a sudden its the focal point of the episode out of nowhere?
The other thing that bugs me is how they'll introduce something and then never seem to mention it again. Take, for example, how the OC threatened Coach Taylor. They haven't done anythign with that. And remember the end of the episode where Buddy Gerrity said VooDoo went to the media telling his story? What ever happened to that?
I guess its just obvious to me that while the writers had an overall vision of how they wanted the first season to play out, and there are many recurring themes, it seems like they throw a lot of random stuff together in the episodes.
And BTW, how many times can a team win on the last play of the game? LOLLast edited by ESPNdeportes; 12-06-2006, 10:40 PM."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams

Re: Friday Night Lights show
1. They might bring this back up if Tyra gets pregnant... since it appears she has slept around alot... trashy story-line, but very true to life.
2. Really can't explain that one... would have been better if they would have introduced him earlier..
3. Well, they kinda gave you the hint that talking about the Dad was taboo in the family and the only reason it was coming up since Smash and his family were traveling to their hometown.
I agree they do kinda over-reach sometimes, but they really haven't done anything totally out of the scope of reality. Everything that has happened could happen.NCAA Vets League: Arkansas Razorbacks (9-2, 6-1)

1. She needed someone after what happened with Riggins so she slept with that guy thinking he would be around for awhile, something that happens all the time.
2. Don't know about that either
3. He was also on steroids which might've made him finally start talking about it, along with them going back to his hometown.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
