what benefit do Imax theater give. I was under the impression that they had bigger screens, and all their movies where in either High Definition or in 3-D

All of a sudden I'm really excited about this movie. For some reason though it looks really confined, kinda like it's on a stage.

Anyone have any info regarding where the movie will be playing in digital projection?

Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here. Yes, it really does merit that many exclamation points. They're free. Blow me. Besides could there ever be any better marriage of film and reviewer? I needed to read this, even if I didn't know I...

My final analysis is 300 the most ***-ruling movie I’ve seen this year, and will probably be the King of 2007 unless someone makes a movie where a pair of sentient boobs fights a werewolf.

Yep you got it, plus every IMAX theater I've been too had amazing sound system. I don't think the resolution is HD but it is higher than your standard movie screen.

Nebraska is having the same thing, but the theater is really small and the sound is that good, but I think they use a digital projector....

However, my friend who works for the movie theater will be able to get me in for free on either the 8th or 9th in a good theater with a good sound system. So we will see what happens.

I think they have an IMAX theater about 30-40 minutes from my house. I am tempted to make the trip out there just for this movie. Decisions, decisions...

I never see movies in the theaters anymore, but this one might actually draw me out. 7 reviews on RT, all positive, with quotes like "must-see" and words like "bombastic" being thrown around. I hope it's showing on the digital projector near me.

And btw, seeing non-Imax movies in Imax is one of the worst things in the world. You can't sit far enough away from the screen to allow your eyes to process the whole image, so you end up looking at parts of the screen instead of absorbing the whole movie as it's intended to be seen. Really dumb, imo.
