Just got home from the theatres, went to go see it with my son Kev. jmood, yes, he kinda reminded me of Crowe's character from Gladiator, even the wife and the so....err not so much the child LOL.

    *****************SPOILERS COMING***************************

I loved the scene were they are up on the edge of the mountain looking down on the massive persian empire and one of the Spartan 300 is side by side with an Athenian (or Artesian I forget) and the Spartan begins to laugh at so damn many Persian army troops. The Athenian looks at him like he is insane, and asks the Spartn why is he laughing with a feared look on him as he asks, the lines that followed from the Spartan were just awesome!

Those fighting scenes when they kill wave after wave of persian army is just too GD awesome, my son (I made him) had to cover his eyes when the Oracle girl danced, when Leonitis (sp) made love to his wife, and when the Hunchback was in the lair of Xerxes (sp) and all them whores LOL.

Greatest movie I've seen this or all of last year, my son loved it as well, we were both oooohing and awwwwing at all the limb chop off swings, everything was so over the top, and unrealistic, but I realize it is meant to interpret FM's Graphic Novel and not reality, but thats what makes it so GD good!!!

Just got back from seeing it.

The action was AWESOME!!! The sequencing, the shots, the realism, everything.

Howeva, two things killed this movie for me.

1)It is really, really, really, really.......really, really cheesy at times. I can't really describe it, but the whole schtick thing is just a little too corny.

2)The lack of stars. Besides Larunitis at times and the cripple, no other character caught my interest all that much. The King of the Persian army was just plain terrible as the main antagonist.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

You make no GD sense to me whatsoever. You say "Just got back from seeing it.

Then you proceed to say, "1)It is really, really, really, really.......really, really cheesy at times. I can't really describe it, but the whole schtick thing is just a little too corny."

WTF Mr. Contradiction!? If ya drank considerably before the flick then, ok, I understand.

"2)The lack of stars." WTF!? Seriously!? This film "needed" stars!? LMAO, Dont watch it again, as yer view on the film is so contradictory and uneventfull, that your view on the film is simply.......worthless.

That's right Rocky, if your opinion is opposite that of the majority, it is not needed or wanted here. Shame on you for not having a perma-boner for this movie. Can't you see this is a guy flick? It's for guys Rocky. You're obviously not a guy if you didn't like this, and only guy opinions matter here cuz only real guys will get it. I'm apt to give you another chance but sorry, Boltman has instructed you already to not watch it again, so I guess that's that. Next time, think before you post something that goes against the grain.

Lack of stars are you kidding me. Since when do "A list" stars = good movie? You must be in charge of giving the "best picture" Academy Awards away that would eplain alot.

I told me friend the same thing about the Gladiator similarity. So cool this was based on factual information. Great, great film will probally see it again in theaters.

Wild Hogs was actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

Great action movie. I don't think it had the depth to be in the "best movies ever" category, but it was highly entertaining. The prospects of seeing this in HD, makes we want to make the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray jump.

Your expectations must have been pretty low JMood. I hung it on the "300" thread because I didn't think it deserved one of its own.
