True for some, but I think over the past few years the tv ratings for March Madness have been dropping.

While I haven't seen it yet. I do think it was a brilliant move on the part of WB to put this out in March. The summer season this year is so jam packed that this might be a bit under the radar. 300 is more or less a summer flick out in the spring.

The ratings were up in 2004 compared to 2003 and 2002. So, I'm not too sure from where that comment is coming.

I think what made the movie even better was that the Spartans used pure skill.

I think this movie is the epitomy of what a movie strives to be, entertaining.

Was it the best dialouge? No. Was it the best plot? No. It was pure entertainment. Action, beautiful women(in some cases), highly stylized visuals, and a great soundtrack made this movie probably one of the most entertaining films I have seen in years. I'm not saying this is the best movie ever, I'm just saying it was worth every damn penny I paid to see it.
