Yeah they were really low and I had no intentions of seeing it but I was forced to see it.

Cot' Damn!! I see that I got pretty roasted here. It was pretty late when I got back from the movie, so I didn't explain myself so well.

Whether or not you use the excuse that this was a "guy-flick" or not, I don't see how that excuses some poor acting by pretty major characters.

I guess the Persian King was supposed to be self-absorbed and evil. But his part missed his mark a bit. Hell I kinda found him cool and I thought that most of the Spartans were the "queer" ones. They weren't hard or very disciplined and with perfectly groomed beads, perfectly cut hair, and perfectly oiled bodies, it looked like they could've stepped right into a modern club after the battles were over. That's where alot of the cheese comes in IMO.

Like I said, the best actor in this movie was the guy who played the cripple. He did a fine job. Larunitis was decent as was his Captain, his wife, and the guy who lost his eye. Everybody else was pretty poor, especially alot of the Spartans.

If you're into the cinematography and battle scenes, this movie is excellent for you tho.

You do know that the Spartans would comb their hair and everything before battles right? This wasn't a completely historically accurate movie but it did have some stuff right. Xerses was really gay though, when he put his hands on Leonadis' shoulders I thought he was gonna tell him to bend over.

The wait to next weekend is very long for me to see this movie. I can't wait to see this.

I was talking with Extreme earlier in the week and I think he said that this movie was only coming to HD-DVD, but I can't remember. It's Warner Brothers, so it might end up on both formats........but I think that WB has been somewhat pro HD-DVD. We will see.

I really like these types of movies.

I thought that it was a fantastic movie. It's easily my favorite movie of all time. Everything was great to me. For me, it was a perfect movie, and I will definitely go see it again. It doesn't do it justice to only see it once.

How were they not very disciplined?

              SPOILER

Only part I found kind of random is when the captain's son lost his head. Some horse rider rode in by himself and then we saw nothing happen to him. Then we saw a couple left over troops come in. He should have regrouped when it was called out instead of turning his back on the enemy.

The IMAX I went to yesterday at 2:55 was sold out through midnight tonight, and had been since they closed on Thursday night. Thought that was pretty insane.

saw it last night at midnight and I'm going to go see it again around 8pm tonight! ****ing fantastic! Probably one of my top 3 movies of all time, and that's with warts and all. There is no deep story, there are no hard hitting questions, it's just a bunch of holy **** moments thrown at you over and over again... and quite frankly I'm ok with that. I loved this movie, and I can't wait to see it again!

The movie sounds awesome. I plan on going to see it sometime this coming week.

I'm so glad I quit my job at the movie theater a few weeks ago; It was completely packed last night, from the sounds of it. This is the time of year when all the good movies come out.

I saw it last night. It was pretty kickass IMO. Xerxes was a beast. When they first showed him, I thought he looked like a little sissy, but then when he stood in front of Leonidas, he was HUGE. And his voice too--- anywho, I strongly recommend seeing this movie, for anyone who hasn't yet or is on the fence.

For those who watch LOST....supposedly the actor who plays Xerxes joined the cast. Be interesting to see him, haha.

Still such a great movie. Can't wait to see it again sometime, hopefully, soon.

yeah he's on LOST every once in a while... he looks nothing like Xerxes though... he's got black hair and is pretty tiny...

Can't get the photo to load but that's him... without all the make up and with hair.

Is he the new male castaway that stole Sawyer's magazine and had the toilet paper last week? Holy crap he looks completely different.
