All that other stuff is crap. But Parallels is certainly worth the money.

My thought exactly...

Half that stuff you can find a free alternative for.

Fonts and themes and recipe programs? No thanks. Plus for FTP Filezilla is free.

Well Lion is a huge fail to me... they killed PowerPC application support, so none of my Adobe CS2 software works anymore.

I like it so far. Not that much different from Snow Leopard. As noted above there seems to be some incompatibility, but that really doesn't affect me. Launchpad is the most useless feature of them all. Mission Control is pretty cool to use as well as full screen apps. Definitely worth the $29 IMO.

Gotta be honest... not a big fan. Launchpad: why? As Scoob said, I don't know why anyone would use that. Mission Control is basically a tweaked version of Exposé.

Full screen apps don't do much for me as I have a 27" iMac and see much more value in being able to have a browser, email, calendar, and iTunes windows open all at the same time on the same screen.

The compatibility thing with older software I understand, but I'm still pissed as while the OS was only $29, the true cost is more like $500 since I now have my Adobe Creative Suite package that is unusable and needs to be upgraded.

I've been having some strange wireless and bluetooth issues that I've never experienced before. My wireless will randomly die out and I'll have to turn the wi-fi radio off/on to get it back. And twice I've started up my computer and my bluetooth mouse refused to sync up.

Also the OS doesn't seem quite as snappy as Snow Leopard. Takes a little longer to boot up, and there are little hitches here or there. Nothing major, but the OS should be getting faster, not slower.

That is why I'm waiting before upgrading until they release their huge first update for it.

I had the previous version and it was horrible due to a lack of updates. I had to return it for the 15" Pro, which I am very happy with.

The Air is a VERY nice machine though. The form factor is second to none. Very fast with the SSD as well. Since they've included a backlit keyboard and Sandy Bridge processors (I haven't used T-bolt yet, but it's there), they are looking pretty tempting right now. The new version is definitely worth it. The old? Not so much.
